With the weather warming up across the country, now is a great time to plan a garden party! If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last few years is to appreciate everything you have and celebrate every day. Entertaining outdoors is easy, fun, and perfect for brunch, lunch, dinner, an afternoon tea, or dessert! All you need is a table, chairs, a tablecloth, dishes, flowers, flatware, napkins, and delicious food! Not only that, there are so many benefits to spending time outside in nature. It’s good for the mind and the soul. After I created my outdoor lemon tablescape last year, I quickly became inspired to create more tablescapes since they’re so easy, fun, and have the power to elevate any patio or backyard.

I don’t typically obsess over dishes, but I must admit ever since I first spotted the beautiful looped La Porcellana Bianca Firenze plates, bowls, and the matching cake stand, I’ve been obsessed. They are the most gorgeous white porcelain dishes I’ve ever seen.

Every dessert table needs a cake or your favorite pastry. My mom is the best baker. I love yellow cake and asked her to make a naked cake similar to the one she made for my rustic fall tablescape last September. She used white icing as the filling and adorned it with pink Eden roses from the trellis at our flower farm! This cake looks so beautiful! You can do the same thing easily and effortlessly. You can make two round cakes and decorate them with flowers or frost them any way that you would like!
Ice Cream Is A Must For Spring & Summer Garden Party Season
What’s your favorite ice cream? I have always been partial to Baskin-Robbins ice cream! I have loved Baskin Robbins Cherries Jubilee and Rocky Road ice cream since I was a little girl and it’s still my favorite. I’m so glad my local grocery store carries it, so I can have my guilty pleasure every night after dinner or when entertaining friends.

Every Garden Party Needs Fresh Flowers
I consider myself blessed to have so many beautiful flowers growing on my property! Everything is pretty bare from January (sometimes December!) until mid-to-late March or early April. It’s so nice to have fresh flowers available again. While I didn’t feature flowers in a pretty vase for this tablescape, I loved having beautiful pink roses as the backdrop and adorning my cake.
If you don’t have flowers growing in your yard, you can visit your local flower farm and purchase them from a flower farmer. If you don’t live near a flower farm or can’t purchase flowers locally grown, you can also go to your local grocery store. They should have a selection of fresh flowers available!
