I have been so focused on decorating for Easter that I completely neglected decorating for one of the biggest Masters golf tournaments in years. If you’re a golfer, a sports fan or have watched the news this week you heard that Tiger Woods had a pretty good chance at winning his first major tournament in well over a decade. As someone who grew up watching Tiger, I knew this was one I had to watch! This morning, I decided I wanted to decorate a golf themed bar cart for the big day. My parents and brother are pretty good golfers so I asked for their input and the rest you can say is history!
If you’re a golfer or have a golfer in your family and looking to decorate your bar cart for the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open, PGA Championship, etc, I have to say you are going to love decorating your golf themed bar cart. It is so easy and so much fun! You can really personalize it with your favorite colors, glassware, and more. It is pretty cost effective too, as you probably have more than enough golf related items in your home. 🙂
Since I love decorating my bar cart for nearly every holiday, occasion and sporting event, today I’m excited to share a few fun and easy golf themed bar cart decor tips!
A Fabulous Bar Cart Is A Must
I bought my gold bamboo inspired bar cart over two years ago, and I am still obsessed and head over heels in love with my purchase. This bar cart is my style, which I consider glam, laidback and edgy! You really have the power to dress this bar cart up or down with your favorite decor items and accessories. Last year I decorated it for Easter with my favorite vintage decor items, and it really had an old fashioned feel to it. During the holidays I featured a few millennial pink bottle brush Christmas trees which made it feel trendy and youthful. Today, I featured a few of my favorite traditional, vintage and “glam” decor items to make this golf inspired bar cart perfect for me!
The U.S. Open is going to be at my favorite golf course in the world (Pebble Beach) come June, I have a feeling that I will go with a different color scheme since the famed golf tournament is always Father’s Day weekend.
Classic Mackenzie-Childs Courtly Check Egg Plate
A few weeks ago I ordered a Mackenzie-Childs black and white courtly check egg plate which has been filled with cute glitter Easter eggs since its arrival. I thought to myself, why don’t I fill it with golf balls? It turned out so cute.
It’s no secret, Mackenzie-Childs home decor items can be quite pricey. I own a few pieces that I proudly display on my kitchen counters and on my mantel. When I spotted this Mackenzie-Childs egg plate that was only $48, I knew I had to have it. It is not only perfect for displaying Easter eggs, it’s a must for entertaining! You can use it to display deviled eggs at your next party, and more. This morning I decided to feature a few Callaway golf balls on top of it! Doesn’t it look cute? I absolutely love it.
Golf Balls Are A Necessity
If you’re not a golfer and don’t have a golfer in your family, it is fairly easy to find affordable golf balls online! Just this morning when I was shopping online, I stumbled on this 12 pack of Callaway golf balls. They are only $6.99. Yes, they are used, but if you’re only going to use them for display purposes, that’s totally fine! My brother is a golfer, so thankfully he let me use quite a few brand new Callaway golf balls that he has in boxes. PS: I highly recommend white golf balls! We tried using neon yellow ones this morning because that was all we could find at the time, but they looked awful. Thankfully he had some white golf balls, as they look much better.
Glassware You’ll Adore And Use Often
I’m definitely one of those people who collects glassware! Anytime I find a pretty or a trendy glass, I have to buy it. I am a huge fan of Anthropologie glasses as well as the brand Rosanna. I bought this clear and gold flamingo inspired pitcher and flamingo highball glasses a few years ago, and still adore them. I featured them along with Anthro glasses that I bought last year! I can’t forget about the fun “Yes way rose” wine glass that I just bought at the Shopbop Sale. It was a fun addition to the bar cart.
Not only do I use this glassware on my bar cart, I use them quite a bit. They’re trendy, practical and affordable.
Every Golf Inspired Bar Cart Needs A Signature Drink
When I came up with this theme this morning, I thought to myself I should make an Arnold Palmer (lemonade and iced tea). Sadly, I didn’t have any black tea in the house! I then came up with the next best thing, lemonade with strawberries on top. It’s easy and oh-so-tasty! When throwing a party, I like to provide my guests with different drink options. On my bar cart I have whipped cream vodka and cotton candy vodka (on the bottom shelf) for my signature “cotton candy punch” drink, and non-alcoholic lemonade (on the top) as well. It’s great to have different signature drink options for friends and family!
Fresh Flowers Are Always A Must
For those that don’t know, I have a flower farm here in Northern California where I raise garden roses. Garden roses are finally in season, so this morning I went and picked a few blooms to fill my vase with. I love having flowers in my bar cart throughout the year. My mom bought an azalea plant that I featured just to the side of the bar cart in front of the golf clubs. Did you know that “azaleas are synonymous with Augusta National” where the Masters is played? This is something I’ve never forgotten and the first thing that comes to mind when I think about the tournament. It must be the flower farmer in me! 😉
The Perfect White and Gold Vase For Golfers
As I mentioned above, this golf themed bar cart was last minute, but it is definitely a favorite! This morning while searching for a vase, I happened to look down the hall and spotted my white and gold honeycomb inspired vase, which I knew would be perfect. In a way, it resembles a golf ball! I filled it with beautiful light pink and cream garden roses. PS: I had to hide my cat Lily while I was decorating my bar cart! She loves eating flowers. That girl is something else!
Felt Letterboards Are A Fun Personalized Addition
I bought this light pink felt letter board last summer and absolutely adore it. It is so much fun! It’s a definite Instagram must. If you’re a golf fan, you will recognize the names I featured: Tiger (Tiger Woods), Spieth: (Jordan Spieth), Rickie (Rickie Fowler) and Lefty (Phil Mickelson). I really wanted to feature my favorite Pat Perez, but sadly he is injured and didn’t play this weekend!
Every Golf Themed Bar Cart Needs Golf Decor
This morning I searched high and low for golf decor. I featured my brother’s trophy from when he was a kid, a vintage bank shaped like a golf ball, golf clubs, a golf bag and tons of golf balls. I also added my gold wishbone (for luck) and my trophy measuring cups which happen to be on sale!
All and all this golf themed bar cart was my absolute favorite bar cart to decorate! It was really a team effort. My mom bought the azalea, my dad gave me an awesome idea that I’m going to use for the U.S. Open, and my brother let me borrow his golf “stuff”! I’ll be sure to update pictures on this post when I decorate again this summer.
