When I was in school or working in an office I was always in a rush, and would either snack on a breakfast bar or an apple on my way out the door. Over the last few years, I have thankfully changed my ways and feel much better throughout the day. Typically I have a bowl of Greek yogurt topped with chia seeds and my favorite fruit or I’ll have a protein smoothie. On the weekend I enjoy preparing breakfast for my family, especially pancakes! A few weeks ago I bought a cute mini pumpkin-shaped pancake maker and thought it would be perfect for a fall breakfast bar! Today, I’m excited to share them with you and a few easy, effortless, and beautiful autumn entertaining ideas you’ll love.
What Is A Breakfast Bar?
A breakfast bar is a perfect spot to place your favorite breakfast dishes, plates, flatware, napkins, plates, and drinks. You can create one for you and your significant other, the kids, family, friends, and out-of-town guests and that’s just the beginning! A breakfast bar is perfect for brunch with your besties, special occasions (such as a bridal shower), holiday celebrations, Thanksgiving brunch, watching football with friends and family, and more.
They are so easy to create and are a must for inside your home or on your patio! A breakfast bar will look great on your patio table, console table, your dining room, bar cart, or kitchen counter! You can even place your favorite breakfast dishes in your living room if you’re watching college football with the family on Saturday or the NFL on Sunday.
One of the many things I love about creating “bars” is that they’re similar to a buffet. Everyone can grab what they’d like to eat and the host/hostess doesn’t have to stay in the kitchen serving everyone. You can actually spend time with your guests, which is an added bonus.

What To Serve At A Fall Breakfast Bar?
Serve your favorite breakfast dishes! You can use food that you’ve purchased from your favorite restaurant, tried and true family recipes, or a new recipe you’ve found on Pinterest. My family and I are partial to cinnamon rolls, so I made cinnamon roll waffles and pancakes with my pumpkin-shaped waffle maker! I love starting my day with fruit and protein, so I made a fresh fruit salad with my favorite fruits! I made sure and added honey crisp apples, which are delicious and in season. For my protein, I cooked up a few ready-made sausages in my air fryer, and they were delicious.
When it comes to drinks, you can serve coffee, tea, water, apple juice, or orange juice. I served orange juice in a pitcher! If you’re having a large get-together, you can serve your favorite drink in a beverage dispenser. Retailers such as Amazon and Walmart have beverage dispensers that are very affordable, so you can place a few on a console table if serving indoors or on a banquet table outdoors.

Fall Breakfast Bar Cart
My gold bar cart is one of my favorite items in my home. I love decorating it for special events, and every season, especially during the holidays. It’s the perfect spot to store my favorite highball glasses and wine glasses when not in use. My two-tier bar cart served as the perfect station for my favorite fall breakfast essentials and autumn-inspired decor.
The top was ideal for featuring pumpkin shaped pancakes and waffles! The bottom portion of the bar cart was spacious enough for a large rattan pumpkin, a pitcher filled with orange juice, and highball glasses!
My Dash Mini Pumpkin Pancake & Waffle Maker Is A Must
Here is a photo of the pancake batter right before I closed the lid on the mini pumpkin waffle maker! It only took a little over a minute to bake, which is phenomenal.
I LOVE Dash kitchen gadgets. They’re functional, and affordable and make great gifts for yourself and for a loved one! I bought one for my teenage cousins a few months ago and finally decided to buy the pumpkin-shaped pancake and Waffle maker for myself. I will admit I was intimidated to try it! The Dash pumpkin pancake and waffle maker stayed in the box for a few weeks until I had the patience and courage to try it out. The waffle maker comes with a small instructional booklet which also has quite a few different recipes. I decided to make the classic waffles and the cinnamon roll waffles. As a self-described cinnamon roll aficionado, I knew I had to give the cinnamon roll waffles a try. Boy, am I glad I did! They are absolutely delicious.
I followed the directions and sprayed both sides of the Dash Mini Pumpkin and Waffle Maker with a non-stick cooking spray. The recipe said to place 1/4 cup of the batter in the waffle maker, (I shared how I did so in my video on Tiktok). You don’t want to fill it more than that as the machine won’t fully close and the pancakes or waffles won’t cook properly.
I set a timer for a minute and a half (per pancake/waffle) and they turned out perfect. They were easy to remove with a small spatula. I love that one side is a pancake and the other side is a waffle. I will say that the cinnamon roll waffle recipe is my favorite! My family loved it too. The homemade cream cheese drizzle recipe is phenomenal. I am definitely going to use it when I make homemade cinnamon rolls in the future.
They’re small so they’re perfect for serving family, friends, and guests on a charcuterie board, a cake stand, or a platter! These fun pumpkin-shaped pancakes are ideal for a fall breakfast bar! You can serve them on the weekend, for your kids before school, at an autumn-inspired brunch, at a bridal shower brunch, or at breakfast on Thanksgiving morning (after your Turkey Trot)!
I made a few extra and put them in a freezer bag, so I can quickly heat them up in the morning during the week!
A Trendy Rattan Pumpkin You’ll Love
The woven decor trend is more popular than ever! There are so many popular fall-inspired woven decor items to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one. Last month I bought this gorgeous 13.75-inch tall rattan pumpkin from Pottery Barn and I’m obsessed with it. The quality is amazing and it’s the perfect accent piece for every room in my home. I had this beautiful woven pumpkin on my bar cart, and tonight I placed it on my coffee table.
This charming durable rattan pumpkin comes in three sizes. I bought the largest size and I am tempted to buy two smaller-sized pumpkins as I know I will use them as decor (and while entertaining) this season and many fall seasons to come.
Fresh Mini Pumpkins and Gourds Are Great For Entertaining
I LOVE growing pumpkins, it’s truly one of my favorite pastimes. It’s relaxing, fun, and challenging to say the least. My white mini pumpkins are always the first to produce and are very prolific. This season I planted them late, but they’re really starting to flourish! I also planted Daisy gourds in honor of my grandmother Margaret (Daisy) who passed away on Halloween.
The Daisy gourds are beautiful just like her, and they’re fun to decorate with! You can place them on your dining table, on your coffee table, or on the desk in your home office, and that’s just the beginning! I decorated my bar cart with a few of my adorable mini pumpkins and gourds.
While I love growing pumpkins at my family flower farm, I know not everyone has the time or the space to grow a garden. Thankfully they’re very easy to come by at grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and pumpkin patches this time of the year. They’re beautiful and fun to decorate with!
A White Cake Stand Is An Entertaining Essential
Words can’t describe how much I love my white La Porcellana Bianca Firenze cake stand. It is absolutely beautiful and one I will cherish for years to come. I use this white cake stand with looped detailing (along the edges) often. It’s perfect for cakes, and various desserts. Today I decided to fill it with pancakes and place it on my bar cart! It is the ideal spot for my adorable pumpkin-shaped pancakes and waffles.

White Dinner Plate As A Serving Plate
Instead of trying to fit two cake stands on top of the bar cart, I decided to use one of my beautiful white La Porcellana Bianca Firenze dinner plates as a serving platter! It was the perfect spot to set my leftover pumpkin shape pancakes and waffles and sausages. The looped edges really elevate this dinner plate and are one of the many reasons I love using it as often as possible.
Glass Syrup Container
How chic is this glass syrup container? I should admit, this glass container is actually a dispenser and meant for mouthwash or for cooking oil and vinegar! I had other plans when I spotted it and thought it would look great on my fall breakfast bar cart.
I’m obsessed with this glass bottle, especially the gold lid. One thing I will say is that since pancake syrup is thick, it takes a minute for the syrup to pour out of the container. That was perfect for me since the mini pancakes and waffles are so small. I didn’t have to worry about it pouring fast, it was very slow.
Woven Glass Cup Holders and Clear Highball Glasses
Like many of you, I LOVE woven decor. The natural, coastal trend is hotter than ever and brings warmth to any space. I fell in love with this beautiful set of six wicker woven cup holders a few months ago and think they’re even prettier in person. I bought them right away, but sadly they didn’t fit any of my glasses. The bottom of the cup holder was too small. I was tempted to return them but bought a set of highball glasses on Amazon just in case. Thankfully these gorgeous, modern and durable Godinger highball glasses fit perfectly!
I highly recommend these woven cup holders and these glasses! They’re perfect for drinking your favorite beverage and also make a beautiful vase. I filled one of them with fresh dahlias and garden roses from my flower farm.
Another great thing about these woven cup holders is you can put a battery-powered candle in them! They’ll look great on your outdoor dining table in the spring, summer, and fall months.
Trendy Cane Pitcher That Will Garner Compliments
When cane pitchers became a hot trend a few years ago, I knew I wanted one but they were very hard to come by. Not only that, but they were quite expensive. A few months ago I fell in love with this beautiful Two’s Company lattice pitcher and the rest is history. Today I filled it with orange juice for my fall breakfast bar! You could also use it to serve iced tea, coffee, or your favorite beverage. I highly recommend this beautiful glass pitcher with woven cane detailing. It exudes an elegant coastal vibe that is more popular than ever. I might add it also looks phenomenal filled with fresh flowers and used as a vase!
Outdoor Fall Breakfast Bar Ideas
Since I love spending time outside every chance I can get, I had to create two outdoor fall breakfast bar ideas that are effortless, chic, and very on trend! I just ordered a new outdoor dining table which I’m impatiently waiting to arrive. For the tablescapes I created today, I used two small patio tables. You can use any size table you’d like!
If you’re hosting a larger event, I would suggest using a larger table with more platters and bowls or you’ll be restocking it often.
A Neutral Tablecloth You Will Use Throughout The Year
When it comes to tablecloths, I believe in investing in great neutrals that you can use throughout the year. I love this particular cotton/linen tablecloth because it has tasseled trim. It is chic, and fun and will elevate any tablescape. This trendy and affordable neutral tablecloth comes in quite a few sizes and they’re all under $30. I accented it with my fall breakfast bar essentials! This beautiful tablecloth looks great with my rustic charcuterie board, woven glasses, cane pitcher, fresh flowers, and autumn-inspired bowl.

I am head over heels in love with my rustic charcuterie board. It is beautiful, durable, and spacious enough for meat and cheese, pancakes, cakes, cupcakes, and more. I have used it often to create countless tablescapes over the last year. It typically sits on my dining room table when I’m not entertaining. This handcrafted mango wood charcuterie board was ideal for setting my mini pumpkin pancakes and waffles on my fall breakfast bar! I love tortoiseshell! It is elegant, timeless, and an absolute showstopper. I purchased this modern brass tortoise serving set last year but they were so popular they sold out immediately. My 20-piece Flatasy gold faux bamboo flatware is one of my favorite purchases ever! It’s an Amazon Home essential and an influencer favorite! After seeing this set countless times on Instagram, I knew I had to have them. The quality is phenomenal and they’re absolutely beautiful. The forks, butter knives, and spoons came in individual plastic resealable bags, and that’s I store them.

Words can’t express how much I LOVE this clear glass hobnail pitcher. It is gorgeous and has a contrasting gold lid. I use it all the time, and actually have it in my refrigerator daily. This pitcher is ideal for water and you can even infuse your favorite fruit in it. Not only that, this gorgeous pitcher is actually heat resistant so you can use it for hot beverages. You can use this pitcher for a hot chocolate bar this winter.
