There are three beauty sales I look forward to every year, and they are the Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale, the Sephora VIB Rouge Sale, and the Sephora Summer Bonus Sale! This morning the 2019 Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale kicked off, and it is beyond amazing. If you love Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury, Giorgio Armani or just looking to try these phenomenal brands at discount prices, you’re in luck! The sale kicked off for VIB Rouge members this morning.
Starting today, Rouge members can save 20% until November 11th. VIB members can save 15% from November 7th to November 11th, and last but definitely not least – Insiders can save 10% November 7th through the 11th. If you haven’t signed up to be a VIB at Sephora, I highly recommend doing so, so you can save a bundle on the best makeup products, skincare products and hair tools for yourself. They have quite a few gift sets for the holidays!
If you know me, you know how much I love skincare products, makeup and doing my hair. I have really sensitive skin and mild rosacea. When my skin isn’t flushed or covered in pustules, I feel confident. As someone with really thick frizzy hair that was extremely damaged and dry, I know what it’s like to find products that make you love your hair. Last but definitely not least, I love trying new makeup products! When I was grieving the loss of my grandma four years ago, watching Youtube makeup tutorials sparked a new interest in me that I didn’t know I had! I love sharing my favorite products with family and friends. I’m hoping to do so more on Instagram more since this is something I’m passionate about.
Today, I’m excited to share 35 of the best beauty, makeup and hair must haves for winter at the Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale! They have changed my life, and I know you will absolutely love them! If you have any favorites, please share them with me as well. PS: I featured all the products in the boutique widget and Shop The Post widget at the bottom of this post. All you have to do is click on an image and it will take you directly to the product page on the website. It’s very easy to use, but if you have any questions please feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to help!
My Favorite Eye Makeup Essentials Of 2019
Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette: My aunt bought me this palette for Christmas and I love it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Mac eyeshadows and still use them all the time, but this palette is beyond amazing. The colors include warm neutrals, browns and grays to create an everyday look or the perfect smokey eye. The colors I use the most are “charmer”, “jetsetter”, rocker and “smokeshow.”
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil: I have used Marc Jacobs fine liner for years and I love it, it’s one of my favorite waterproof eyeliners for everyday. My mom’s eye makeup always looks impeccable and she told me I had to try Urban Decay’s eye pencil in zero. It’s the perfect shade of black for the perfect smokey eye. I honestly feel like it makes my blue eyes pop when I wear it! The best part is it stays on all day!
It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara: As the self proclaimed queen of mascara, I absolutely love trying new mascaras! I bought two different black mascaras by It Cosmetics this year, but this one is definitely my favorite. My aunt swears by this mascara and said it made her look like she had fake lashes on, so I knew I had to try it. OMG it is phenomenal! It makes my lashes look longer, more voluminous and it has amazing staying power too. I highly recommend it!
The Best Eyebrow Products For Those Of Us With Thin Brows
I may have extremely thick hair, but unfortunately my brows are very light and very thin. Over the years I have searched for eyebrow products that will help me look like I have brows when I don’t. Thankfully, I found them a few months ago and I’m excited to share them with you!
Tom Ford Brow Sculptor: Sephora describes this pencil best “A pen with a calligraphy tip on one end and brush on the other to create tailor-made strokes from thin to wide for definitive TOM FORD eyebrows.” This product comes with an extra pen tip, so it’s as though you’re getting two eyebrow products in one. I use the brush to brush up my eyebrows, I then use the pen to draw them in for a natural look. I finish them up with the Tom Ford Fiber Brow Gel.
Tom Ford Fiber Brow Gel: This fiber brow gel is my holy grail product. For the first time in my life, I know what it’s like to have full natural looking eyebrows! This product make me wish “I woke up like this.” I love the look of thick brows and have tried numerous products over the years and this is my favorite by far! Sometimes I use this product on its own if I’m in a hurry. It’s water-resistant, and has amazing staying power as well! It’s the best eyebrow product ever for thin brows.
My Favorite Skincare Products At The Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Moisturizer: I bought the Fresh Lotus Face Cream a few years ago and absolutely love it. It’s great for every skin type including sensitive skin. Unfortunately, I felt like I needed something that was more hydrating for my dry, sensitive skin. I purchased this rose deep hydration moisturizer earlier this year and fell in love with it instantly. According to the website it’s “An advanced gel-cream that delivers intense 24-hour hydration powered by a combo of hyaluronic acids and time-release hydropatches for petal-soft skin.” It is very hydrating and the best part is it didn’t make me break out. I was excited to see that many people with rosacea recommend this product as well!
Fresh Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream: I really love this gel eye cream! I use it every morning. It is very hydrating, and is great under makeup. It’s perfect!
Nighttime skin care essentials
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask: This summer my skin took a beating. Rosacea can really wreak havoc on your skin in the heat, and while I tried my best to wear a hat every time I walked outside, there were times I forgot. It didn’t take long for the skin on my cheeks to break out (especially on the left side of my face). I bought this product which is made of ingredients like “Hyaluronic Acid, rosewater and rose damask extract”, and it really helped get rid of the pustules on my cheeks. It is a two step mask – one side includes a gel, while the other side is a moisturizer. You use the gel first and then put the moisturizer on top. I have found that using the product once a week is most helpful for me now! In the summer I used it much more often. It’s a great mask!
Best Night Cream
Creme Ancienne: I have been using Creme Ancienne night cream for the last few years nearly every night and I am obsessed with it. It is hand-blended in a monastery with “meadowfoam seed oil, vitamin E oil, chamomile wax”. It is pricey but it’s well worth it to me. My skin feel so soft when I use it. I can definitely tell the difference when I don’t. My grandma (who had absolutely amazing skin) shared the importance of wearing face cream at night when I was younger. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to wear face cream for many years because they all caused me to break out. I’m so thankful for Creme Ancienne for improving my skin!
I shared a long review last year on my favorite skincare products for dry, sensitive skin and this is one of the items I featured!
Creme Ancienne Eye Cream: There are so many things to love about this eye cream. I love that it’s moisturizing, hydrating, and that it doesn’t have a scent! I have a strong aversion to highly scented products (they give me migraines) and this one doesn’t! It is thick, so most of the time I wear it over my Creme Ancienne at night. It’s amazing for sensitive eyes, which is an added bonus.
The Best Eyemakeup Remover and Cotton Pads
Lancome Bi-Facil: This is the BEST eye makeup remover on the planet. I have been using it since I was a teenager and I am beyond obsessed with it. It is a little pricey, though. When I was in college I tried using cheaper eye makeup removers, olive oil and even coconut oil, but none of them were beneficial for me. Some left my sensitive eyes in pain, while others caused breakouts. I honestly will not wear makeup if I run out of this because taking my off eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara with anything else is too painful!
I like the “home and away set” featured on Sephora’s website because it includes the 13.5 bottle and the travel bottle for $52.50. If you were to buy these products on their own, it would end up costing you $69. I love to save money, and these products last a long time! I bought mine in July and I still have quite a bit left.
Shiseido Facial Cotton: I LOVE Shiseido Facial Cotton. The cotton pads are so soft, and they last a long while! I try to buy a huge pack (165 pads) every time there is a sale. They retail for $12, but it’s always nice to save 20% on my entire purchase! They are the best for removing eye makeup and not irritating my eyes.
My Favorite Winter Foundation and Makeup Essentials At The Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: I started using this foundation four years ago, and it is still one of my favorites! Luminous Silk is perfect for every skin type, especially those of us with sensitive dry skin. I mix it with my highlighter for everyday!
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter: Jessie James Decker mentioned how much she loved this highlighter in a tutorial years ago, and knew I had to try it. I have used this for years and absolutely adore it. It’s very easy to use! All I do is mix a drop with my foundation and just rub it in my skin. Most of the time I’m too lazy to use a brush or a BeautyBlender, and will just use my fingertips if I’m in a hurry! In the summer I typically just rub the highlighter on my face without foundation. It’s one of the best products that I have ever tried.
Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector: I was looking for a product to help conceal dark circles but wouldn’t make my fine lines (that I was so graciously born with!) more pronounced! Thankfully I found this amazing under eye brightening corrector and absolutely adore it. I use it every single day, even if I don’t use foundation! It has the power to make you look like a million bucks when you haven’t slept a wink.
Best Contour Palettes For Holiday Party Season
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit: If you have dry skin, you are going to LOVE this cream contour kit! It has three contour shades and three highlights. As you can tell from the photo, I really like contouring with the darkest color the most. I purchased the original contour kit years ago and really like it, but this one is far better if you have dry skin or love the look of cream contour products. I use it with my Tarte The Slenderizer Contour Brush. It’s so easy to apply, and it lasts the whole day!
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate: I’d heard amazing things about this shade and illuminate (contour and highlight) product for years. I’d always wanted to try it because I love Tom Ford products, so I purchased it earlier this year. I occasionally use it as a contour, most of the time I use it as a bronzer and highlighter! It’s so gorgeous on. It too is great for sensitive, dry skin.
Tom Ford Soleil Glow Bronzer: This is my favorite bronzer ever! Words can’t describe how much I love it. There’s a reason there is a cult following, it looks amazing on every woman! It’s available in quite a few different shades, and is very easy to apply with the Tom Ford bronzer brush (unfortunately the brush I have is no longer available). I have had the mini bronzer for over a year now, and I haven’t made a dent in it. A little goes a long way!
My Favorite Self Tanners For Winter
I’m new to the self tan game. It’s hard to find a good self tanner when you’re really sensitive to scents! It seems as though everything has a strong scent that gives me a headache. I tried numerous products and these are the two I like the most.
Tan-Luxe The Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops: Tan drops are extremely popular in the world of social media and with beauty bloggers. The Isle of Paradise drops everyone recommended were always sold out, so I thought I would try this product. In all honesty I hated this product when I first bought it. I found it hard to apply, and that it streaked. I really wanted to send it back, but something told me I should keep it. After taking a break from the Tan-Luxe drops for a few months I decided to give them another shot. I realized that if I double the amount of body moisturizer I use per drop, it doesn’t streak. I own it in the dark shade and use it quite a bit!
Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops: There is a reason that these tanning drops are always sold out, they are unbelievably good! I recently placed an order and these drops were available as a sample. I was so excited to finally try them! The drops are amazing! My tan was streak-free, lasted for days and felt completely natural. I absolutely love these tanning drops and can’t wait to purchase them at the Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale!
The Best Lip Products At The 2019 Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale
Tom Ford Luxe Lip Gloss: If you haven’t gotten your hands on Tom Ford’s lip gloss, I strongly urge you do! They are beyond gorgeous on. I wasn’t able to post about them during the last sale because they were sold out. Thankfully they’re in stock, but many colors are selling out quickly! They’d make a great gift. Just ask my mom who takes my Tom Ford lip glosses every chance she can get! 😉
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick: I follow quite a few beauty bloggers on Instagram, and they all said the same thing – Kim K.W. is one of the best nude lipsticks ever! They were right. I bought this lipstick over a year ago, and I still love it. Everyone is raving about Pillow Talk. I’m going to have to try that next!
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner: If you’re looking to purchase a lip liner that will ensure your lips look plumper, this is the lip liner you need! I use the color “pillow talk” which is the best nude! I wear it with my Kim K.W. lipstick, lipglosses and lip balms!
Tom Ford Lip Color Lipstick: Tom Ford’s “Open Kimono” is another amazing nude lipstick! This year I’m hoping to branch out and try a few other colors. I need to buy stock in Tom Ford, I love every single product I’ve ever tried! Here are just a few of the amazing ingredients you’ll find in Mr. Ford’s lipsticks “soja seed extract, brazilian murumuru butter, and chamomilla flower oil.”
Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask: Like many of you, my lips tend to get drier in the cool winter months. I have been using this mask at night for a long time now and love it. It leaves my lips hydrated! The sleeping lip mask comes in quite a few different flavors. Mine is the original, and it is yummy!
Sephora Lip Balm and Scrub: This product is only $6, and it is phenomenal! It comes in quite a few different scents and colors. I own “rose” and it smells heavenly!
My Favorite Hair Products at the Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale
If you’ve had a chance to check out my review on the best hair products for thick hair, you know how much I love Drybar and T3! They have completely improved the way I feel about my hair. I absolutely hated my hair for nearly my entire life. I’d always cut it before it became a bushy, frizzy, ginormous wavy mess. Over the years I’d tried numerous products and was about to cut my hair again when I decided to try a few new products for the millionth time. This time I fell in love and was hooked! These products have been favorites of mine for three and a half years! I highly recommend them and excited to share them with you today.
Drybar Sake Bomb Shampoo: This hydrating shampoo is phenomenal on its own! My hair feels clean, hydrated and healthy!
Drybar Mudslide Mask: This mask is a must for everyone! If you have dry, damaged hair, you are going to love this mask. If you’re looking to improve the look and feel of your hair, you are going to love it as well! It’s hydrating but doesn’t feel heavy. My hair feels soft, bouncy and amazing since using it. I LOVE it!
Drybar Sake Bomb Conditioner: If you’re searching for a hydrating conditioner that you can use on a daily basis or a few times a week, I highly recommend this conditioner! I just started using this conditioner a few months ago, and love it! I alternate between this conditioner and the mask.
Drybar Jump Start Quick Dry Blowout: I bought this at the last sale and it is my favorite new product of 2019! It’s supposed to help reduce blowout time, but I haven’t blow dried my hair much since it’s still fairly warm here. What I have found is that it reduces air dry time! Not only that, it makes my hair voluminous, reduces frizz and my curls last longer! It’s also a hair protectant that protects hair up to 450 degrees. It’s phenomenal!
Must Have Hair Tools For Every Hair Type On Deep Discount
If you’re looking to purchase a new hair tool for winter and the holiday season, now is a great time to do so! You typically can’t save 15-20% off on T3 or Drybar except at the Sephora Sale a few times a year. Here are a few of my favorites!
T3 Whirl Trio Curling Wand Set: This set includes “three barrels (one-inch Straight Barrel, 1.25- to .75-inch Tapered Barrel, and 1.5-inch Straight Barrel).” After my hair started getting healthier in 2016, and growing longer I bought the Whirl Trio curling wand set! I love all three, especially the .75 inch tapered barrel since I love glamorous waves!
DryBar The Tress Press Styling Iron: If you’re searching for a flat iron that will straighten every hair type AND curl it too, I highly recommend this one! I have owned it for years upon years now and have never had a problem. It’s lasted longer than any flat iron I have ever purchased, and I have had many over the years.
T3 SinglePass Curl 1.25” Professional Ceramic Curling Iron: I purchased this curling iron at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few months ago and I am beyond obsessed with it. This is the hair tool that I use the most! The curls last forever and they look amazing. I am looking to buy a larger barrel next because I can only imagine how fabulous the curls must be.
Drybar Hold Me Hair Clips: Last but definitely not least, the best hair clips on the planet. I have had them for three and a half years and adore them. It’s a rarity to find hair clips that hold all of my hair, so I had to share them! They’re sturdy, don’t hurt and so comfortable that I wear them all the time – even when I’m not doing my hair. They’re only $16 and for a limited time you can score them for even less!
