Why You Shouldn’t Get Dad A Tie For Father’s Day
Candie Anderson: What’s on your wishlist for Father’s Day, Lance?
Lance Smith: “The Father’s Day wish list, it could be long. It’s really just the thought that counts, right? That’s what we’re talking about. You’ve got to listen to dad. No more ties. We’re good with ties!”
How To Pick The Perfect Gift For Dad
Candie Anderson: Do you have any tips on how we can pick the perfect gift for dad?
Lance Smith: “Dad likes sports, maybe? Maybe he’s outdoors a lot? Maybe he’s complaining about what he doesn’t have. You’ve got to listen to the man and he’ll let you know what he needs. Plus, if you got it for him last year, you’re probably good to go this year and don’t need to get it again.”
7 Father’s Day Gifts For Sports Enthusiasts
Candie Anderson: “What are some of the must have gifts for dad?
Lance Smith: “I’ve got some must have gifts right here. I hope you’re ready for that, I’m going to run them down.
Dad, probably a golfer (a lot of dads are) you’ve got to check out this Tommy Armour blade putter. The Tommy Armour brand is back exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. This is a beautifully designed putter here. You’ve got to check that out!
Maybe he’s just into mini golf and the putter is just fine, but you could also make it a package deal and get him some MaxFli golf balls which also come in different colors, not just white.
This Walter Hagen polo here which has the moisture wicking technology – if you were to get him a shirt, this is the one to get. Even if he doesn’t golf, he’ll look good and keep him dry. It has UV protection so you’ll keep the man safe.
Now, if golf isn’t his thing, surely he sits down. We’ve got this folding chair (a lot of people have folding chairs, but this one is going to take it a step further). The GCI Outdoor rocker – this thing is an actual rocking chair that you can fold up and take with you on the go. It’s got a couple of hydraulic legs so you’ll be the coolest dad sitting on the sidelines.
Now if you don’t want to sit on the sidelines, and you want to get in the game, take the family outdoors with this wicked sports kickball. It’s a Wicked Big kickball, and it is quite literally, wicked big. This thing is huge! It comes with a pump to blow it up. It has the bases and home plate – everything you need to break out a kickball game whenever and wherever you are.
Of course you’ve got to have some drinks and stuff, and with that, everyone loves the Yeti brand. The Yeti Roadie 20 I have here, it’s an amazing piece of technology. It’s also available in June in the color charcoal. Maybe he’s got one, but I guarantee he doesn’t have charcoal yet.
Finally, if you are going to go smaller instead of that tie, at least get the man a hat. The New Era MLB caps are out with his favorite sports teams. The blue on blue is for Father’s Day, and the all white is exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Whether it’s a cap or a putter or a shirt or a cooler, we’ve got something here that dad is going to love.”
How To Find A Budget Friendly Gift For Father’s Day
Candie Anderson: Is it possible to find a budget friendly gift for Father’s Day?
Lance Smith: “It is possible to find the perfect gift for Father’s Day this way. Just listen to him and find out what he wants, and head out to dicks.com. They have a price match guarantee. If you find this somewhere cheaper, it’s a one stop shop there.”
