I’ve been a fan of textured throw pillows long before they were on trend! My grandmother used to embroider beautiful three dimensional flowers on pillows and I was always in awe of her talent. Needless to say, I have loved textured and embroidered pillows since I was a kid.
Over the years I’ve bought quite a few textured throw pillows, especially when they started gaining popularity years ago at Anthropologie. That used to be one of the only places you could find them! When I was brainstorming what I’d title this blog post, I debated whether or not I should title it “bohemian” or “boho chic” since handwoven blankets and throw pillows tend to be categorized this way. As someone who likes traditional, contemporary, glam, farmhouse, and rustic inspired decor (among others) I absolutely love texture and think it looks great mixed in with solid color or print bedding.
