It’s no secret, I love fashion, especially shoes and accessories! In the cold fall and winter months I live in over the knee boots and my comfy Uggs. During the warm spring and summer months, you’ll find me in sandals, wedges, espadrilles, and comfy white sneakers! I love classics, neutrals and items that I can wear time and time again. Last year I featured the best shoes for spring on the blog. That post was so popular that I knew I had to create a best of spring 2019 shoes roundup! I’m so excited to share it with you today.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I am someone who cannot justify purchasing an item unless I can wear it countless times throughout the year (and beyond). I bought my first pair of Tory Burch Miller sandals years ago, and I still wear them to this day. Not only are they classic, but they are incredibly comfortable, pair well with everything in my closet and can dress up the most basic top and skinny jeans! They are a tried and true favorite.
My mom taught me growing up to save and buy what I want. I’ve always had a problem with being impatient or wanting the next best thing if the item I want is sold out. I’ve learned that I’m much happier when I buy what I’ve had my heart set on all along. In the long run I save money! My designer shoes and clothing have been able to withstand years of use.
When it comes to trends though, I tend not to spend as much. I’m not the type of person who will splurge on the latest designer trend unless I absolutely love the shoe and know I will wear them more than a few times. This is how I feel about shoes, clothing, home decor and just about everything else!
With that being said, today I’m excited to share nine of the best spring 2019 shoes with you! I also shared tips on how you can pair them with your favorite outfits all spring. At the bottom of the post, I featured a few more pairs in a variety of styles, colors and price ranges! Happy spring.
White Sneakers Are A Must
When it comes to spring and summer shoes, one can’t go wrong with a great pair of white sneakers. A few years ago Adidas Superstar sneakers/tennis shoes gained popularity and were flying off the shelf. I’d always loved them, and was eager to get my hands on a pair especially since they were under $100, paired well with everything in my closet and had rose gold accents! I’m so glad I bought them, I’ve had them for over two years and wear them all the time with leggings, skinny jeans, shorts and casual denim skirts. They’re perfect for students, after work and the weekend.
I bought my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers last year and quickly became obsessed. They’re a fashion blogger and celebrity favorite! I will admit that the price tag is pretty steep. It’s a rarity to find them on sale, but when you do, make sure you scoop them up. They are well worth the price! Not only are they trendy, but they’re comfortable and look great on. Golden Goose sneakers make a statement on their own! I bought them in white in February, and can’t wait to wear them this spring. It’s been a very cold, rainy and wet 2019 here in California, and I’m eagerly awaiting warmer temps so I can pair them with my favorite AG jeans, cute basic casual dresses and more!
Trendy Espadrilles For Spring
If you’ve followed my blog for a long time, you know that I live for espadrilles in the spring and summer months, especially Tory Burch espadrilles. I bought a classic white pair with a black toe years ago, and they have taken a beating in the garden! My mom and I have a flower farm, and the thing I love the most about Tory Burch espadrilles is how durable and comfortable they are. They are so easy to throw on with skinny jeans, shorts, skirts, maxi dresses and more. Tory Burch espadrilles are perfect for Sunday brunch, running errands, and are great for students as well. I wish I’d had a pair in college, they would have been perfect for going from class to class and the parking lot which was about a mile away!
I bought the Tory Burch Ines Espadrilles a few months ago, and recommend going up half a size!
Obsessed With Fabulous Flip Flops
I’m going to take you back about 12 years, do you remember where you were on Monday nights? If you were anything like me, you were watching MTV and glued to “The Hills.” Lauren Conrad was definitely one of my biggest style icons back in the day. Like many of you, I wanted a pair of Tory Burch Reva flats which she helped make popular! In my opinion, LC and Oprah (Oprah’s favorite things) helped make Tory Burch as popular as she is today. I love her ballet flats and of course her Miller sandals, which are also a celebrity and fashion blogger favorite. I’ll admit there are many things that bloggers promote that are cute, but aren’t necessarily comfortable. Miller sandals on the other hand are very comfortable, especially for those of us with a narrow foot!
I wear my Miller sandals on the daily during the warm spring, summer and even fall months here in Northern California. I wear them with dresses, skinny jeans (I live in my AG jeans!), skirts and shorts. They are very comfortable! As I mentioned above, my mom and I have a flower farm and these sandals have gotten wet, stuck in the mud, what have you, and they still look great! I own a pair in black, sand (beige), leopard print and snake embossed and wear them all the time. If there’s one shoe you should invest in, I highly recommend Tory Burch flip flops!
Valentino Rockstud Jelly Thong Sandals
A few years ago I bought a pair of Valentino Rockstud flat sandals. I’d always wanted a pair but they would always sell out immediately. Thankfully, Saks or Neiman Marcus got a few pairs in and I was able to grab them ASAP before they sold out again. If you’re looking for a pair of sandals that will definitely make a statement, I highly suggest this studded pair! Ankle Booties Are The Must Have Shoes For Spring
A few years ago I invested in a pair of Rag & Bone leather ankle booties. I loved them so much that I had to have them in suede! I’m so glad I bought them as they’re great quality, look good with everything and are perfect throughout the year. This style is no longer available in brown suede, but since Rag & Bone booties are so popular and comfortable, I wanted to share a few different styles!
They’ll look fabulous with your favorite dress whether it’s boho chic, casual or lace! You can wear them with a cute basic top, skinny jeans and a moto jacket. They’ll also look great with your favorite denim skirt or denim shorts at the next music festival you’re attending. The options are endless!

It’s no secret, Valentino is an investment. As I mentioned above, I don’t make many purchases throughout the year, I tend to splurge on items I’ve had on my wish list and wear them for years to come. I don’t like replacing items unless I have to! My mom and aunt love when I do though, since I tend to share the shoes I no longer wear with them. I’m sorry though, these Rockstud wedges are staying with me! 😉 Not only are they gorgeous, they are very comfortable!
