A few years ago my rural town with just a few stoplights got a new Walmart. I’ve purchased everything from plants to home decor, skincare products, food and pet supplies there to name a few. Over the last few months I’ve seen quite a few of my favorite fashion bloggers share the cutest dresses, tops, jeans and sandals that they’ve purchased from Walmart, so I started perusing their website for trendy, high quality and affordable fashion finds. There are so many cute clothes to choose from, I quickly became obsessed!
To say I was excited when Walmart approached me about partnering with them for their We Dress America campaign is an understatement. I was beyond thrilled and still am!
Have you heard about the We Dress America campaign? It’s a “fashion campaign that celebrates fashion for all.” With stores across the country in rural towns, small towns, suburbs and large metropolitan areas, they definitely have something for everyone in the hottest trends and popular styles at affordable prices! As someone who lives in a rural area, my style may differ from someone who lives in a larger city! I love that we can all dress in clothing we feel comfortable in, while sticking to a budget.
With spring upon us and warmer weather hopefully arriving in Northern California soon, I have been looking for cute and affordable spring tops that I can wear on the daily for work and after work. I have two wonderful and very different careers. I am a celebrity interviewer/blogger for the majority of the day. I interview celebrities and trusted experts often and I also feature the best fashion and home decor trends. I also have a flower farm. My mom and I raise over 500 garden roses, which are used in wedding bouquets, at special events and “just because.” I need clothing that I can wear while blogging or conducting interviews, as well as something that I can wear while working in the yard, and of course when clients come by to pick up their roses!
Walmart’s trendy spring clothing is a must! There are so many great items to choose from. Just last weekend my mom, aunt and I sat at the computer and did a little shopping. I wanted cute tank tops, a fun dress, an off the shoulder top, skinny jeans, wedge sandals and that’s just the beginning! Walmart carries great items from Lord & Taylor, Circus by Sam Edelman, Levis, Kendall & Kylie for Walmart and that’s just the beginning!
I’ve been checking out the #wedressamerica hashtag wondering why I didn’t spend even more hours at my computer shopping. I now want this circle straw bag and this cute floppy hat for summer.
Well, I finally narrowed down my list and got free two day shopping on my order of $35 or more. How fabulous is that? I didn’t even have to pay membership fees to save! On Friday I had a photographer come by and take photos of my outfits, and plan on sharing them with you soon.

Stripe tops are essential for every woman regardless of age! In my opinion stripes aren’t a fad or just a trend, they’re classic and can dress up any outfit. I live in stripe tops throughout the year. In the spring I’ll wear a cute stripe top with a cardigan on chilly mornings and evenings. I’ll wear that same top with denim shorts or a skirt come summer! During the fall and winter months I’ll pair a stripe top with a leather or suede moto jacket! The options are endless. Obsessed with off the shoulder tops!
The readers of Candie Anderson absolutely love off the shoulder tops, and so do I! I bought the cutest off the shoulder top from Walmart and adore it. The quality is amazing and it’s only $12. I have already paired it with skinny distressed denim jeans and slip-on sneakers for a casual look. I can’t wait to pair it with wedges and a great denim skirt out with friends or to brunch with the family.

Word on the street is the utility trend (safari/animal/camo/olive and cargo) is hotter than ever! Like many of you, I lived in cargo pants in my youth. Not only are they cute, but they’re incredibly functional with all the pockets. Who needs a purse when you have cargo pants? 😉 They’ll look great with a basic top, sneakers, sandals or even wedge espadrilles!
