One of the best decisions I ever made was to start working from a desk! Not only has it helped keep me accountable, but I’m much more organized, my neck pain has been reduced and I get more work done throughout the day without interruptions. I personally believe adorning one’s desk (or workspace) with trendy home office furniture and supplies that are not only functional but look great is a must. Amazon is one of my favorite places to shop for trendy home office supplies and desk accessories because they’re affordable, they have so many different items to choose from and they’re available with fast free shipping.
With back to school upon us and many people working from home for the foreseeable future, today I’m excited to share 20 Amazon home office essentials and desk accessories I love that are readily available with Amazon Prime and will make your life much more productive! Amazon Tech Essentials For Your Home Office
I purchased an iMac desktop computer a few years ago and I absolutely love it. The screen is huge, so it makes work and play much easier! I have been trying my best to learn how to use Photoshop and Lightroom this year, so having a large screen is a plus. I’ve never been big on watching TV, but have no problem sitting at my iMac watching documentaries like “The Last Dance” or a nostalgic TV show like “Cheers” or “Friends” after work or when I need a break. While I’m working, I make sure to have Amazon Music on so I can listen to my favorite music!
My Favorite Router For Rural Areas
I live in a rural area and have satellite broadband internet. I pay over $100 a month for what those living in town would call dial-up! While I wish this mesh network sped up my internet to the point I could actually watch Netflix on my TV, I will say that having a satellite and router has been really helpful. There are no longer any dead spots in my one-story home. I have the router in one room and have the satellite on the opposite side of the house. The signal is strong enough that my iPhone no longer switches over to LTE in the house, and I can use my laptop on my patio which is an added bonus. PS: The one I purchased doesn’t connect to Alexa, but this device is so popular the Netgear Orbi network I bought is sold out! This one is refurbished and includes an Alexa so you can connect to this amazing device!
The Best Wireless Printer Under $100
I’ve shared this HP printer on Liketoknowit numerous times because it is so amazing! I bought it after my accountant brought his printer a few years ago and I was so impressed by how well it works. I purchased it that day and have never looked back. It wirelessly prints from my iMac, laptop, and iPhones all the time! I use it to print emails, recipes I’m looking to try, receipts for tax purposes, research for interviews, and more. I highly recommend it! In fact, today I was in the garden and noticed a problem with my pumpkins, so I printed an article inside the house while I was outside. If you live in a rural area or have really spotty wifi coverage, you know this is a big deal! I highly recommend this printer.
The Best Photo Printer At An Affordable Price
I bought this wireless Epson photo printer before the pandemic started and I love it. Years ago before I started blogging full-time, I dabbled in photography. I sold my prints online and used an Epson printer. The thing I love the most about this brand is that the photos are water-resistant. While this is just a portable photo printer, it does a great job! I bought it originally to print photos of my dogs and flowers from my flower farm for myself and for friends! If you need a photo printer that prints 4×6 or 5×7 photos for work, DIY projects, or for leisure, this is definitely it! You can print from a memory card, your laptop, desk computer, tablet or smartphone!
My Favorite FSC Certified Copy Paper For My Printer
It never fails, I always end up needing white copy printer paper at the most inopportune time! Thankfully, I can get printer paper delivered in a reasonable amount of time, so I can print items for online classes I’m taking, ebooks, receipts for tax purposes, research for interviews, gardening tips that my mom and I can use on our flower farm and more.
I recently purchased this HP FSC Certified Copy Paper, and it’s been great!
Trendy Mouse Pads For Fashion Lovers
I have been on the marble/tie-dye kick since 2020 began! I switch between a pink and purple marble mouse pad and a square leopard print mouse pad because I adore these prints so much. My desk is neutral, so these trendy mouse pads really dress them up! The best part is they’re super affordable at under $10 with fast free Amazon Prime delivery.
Must Have Gold Polka Dot Folders
I’m not very organized around the house, but when it comes to my business, I pride myself on my organization skills. I love using glamorous folders! I bought these Kate Spade gold polka dot folders a few years ago and use them to organize receipts, business contracts, instruction manuals, passwords and more!
The Best Planners and Planner Inserts I’ve Ever Used
I’m a sucker for a great planner and planner inserts. Over the years I’ve fallen in love with Day Designer planners and the Law of Attraction Planner on Amazon. They’re amazing planners that not only keep you accountable, but they are inspiring too! They feature inspirational and motivating quotes and have plenty of space to not only write your To-Do list for the day but things you’re grateful for!
This last year I bought a Louis Vuitton GM agenda and I am head over heels in love with it! It is everything I’ve always wanted and more. One of the many things I adore about it is Amazon has tons of different planner inserts, notepaper, and A5 agenda accessories to choose from. I love that I can customize it the way I like.
In January I bought these planner inserts that come with monthly dividers. There is plenty of space for my to-dos of the day. I find using stickers is a fun way to organize my day, weeks, and months. They’re perfect for marking birthdays, holidays, appointments and for motivation.
I love taking notes and talked about that in my most recent Instagram post. I bought this note set which includes hole punched lined paper, plastic pockets for storage, colored tabs, and a ruler. This set has been a favorite of mine! I use it all the time. PS: If you love taking notes as much as I do, you’ll definitely want a classic Moleskine notebook. I adore mine and use it all the time!
Must Have Pens From Amazon
Today, I wanted to share two sets of pens I love! One set looks pretty on my desk, while others are my favorite to write with! 😉 I originally bought this set of six gold pens a few years ago and need to order more because my family likes to take them off of my desk. They came as a set, and I have them sitting in a gold Anthro vase I purchased years ago when pineapples were all the rage. I still adore this vase and use it as a pencil holder!
These black retractable ballpoint pens are my favorite. They somehow improve my handwriting dramatically. It no longer looks like a sloppy mess! I bought them at the Amazon Prime sale last year, and I have tried my best to hide them from the family because they love them as much as I do. They’re currently up to $10 off when you spend $25! Talk about an amazing deal. They’re perfect for back to school and/or working from home (wfh)!
Miscellaneous Amazon Desk Accessories I Adore
My Leopard Print Stapler Is The Perfect Accessory!
Anyone who knows me or who has followed the blog for a while knows how much I love leopard print. Since I spend so much time at my desk I believe in personalizing it any way that I can. When I was shopping for a trendy yet budget-friendly stapler I stumbled on this beauty. Not only is it gorgeous, but it’s under $20 and the staples are gold. It doesn’t get any better than this leopard print stapler, my friends!
Pink Paper Cutter
I am the worst when it comes to cutting a straight line! It doesn’t matter if a line is drawn on paper, it will still be crooked. Thankfully this light pink paper cutter does the trick! I bought it to customize paper for my planner. It’s also great for DIY and craft projects. With many of us social distancing from friends and family members for the foreseeable future now is a great time to make handmade cards for loved ones! Pinterest has a few great ideas for crafters and DIYers.
A Hole Punch Is A Must
A great three-ring hole punch is a must for students or for those who use a binder or planner. I purchased this adjustable pink six-hole punch since I like to customize dividers and paper for my Louis Vuitton agenda.
Shipping Tape Is A Necessity
I don’t know about you, but shipping tape can be hard to find in my house, especially when I need it the most! I always make sure I have shipping tape in my desk drawer because you never know when you may need to ship something or pack something up.
Boho Chic Magazine Rack
This neutral textured Moroccan wedding blanket inspired magazine rack was one of my birthday presents to myself. I’ve been looking for ways to clean up my home office a bit and fell in love with this magazine rack instantly. I use it for book storage, magazines, and even the files I need that day. It is the perfect accessory and absolutely gorgeous which is an added bonus.
Business Books To Inspire and Motivate You
When I’m in a funk or feeling anxious, I turn to the likes of Zig Ziglar, Darren Hardy, Mark Cuban, and a few other inspiring entrepreneurs. Their books have inspired me to not get overwhelmed, take things one step at a time, and that it’s important to be consistent when making any type of change. I was really burned out from late 2018 until about March 2019. I credit Zig Ziglar’s “The Born To Win Seminar” for helping me see my potential and to have a positive attitude.
I started listening to Darren Hardy’s book called “The Compound Effect” on Audible which teaches you to not look at the whole picture because it causes overwhelm. For example, when I’m working on my flower farm, I no longer look at the 450 roses I have to deadhead, water, or weed-eat. I have them in sections. Section one will take me 15 minutes to deadhead. I’ll take a break, work on something else, and come back to section two. It’s really helped me be more motivated, and it’s also helped me accomplish everything I need to do and more!
Here are a few of my favorites! If you’re interested in any of them or would like more information on a book, all you have to do is click on an image and it will take you directly to the book on the Amazon website.
