If there’s one positive thing about 2020, it’s that many of us sought refuge in the garden. My mom and I have a flower farm where we grow garden roses and dahlias. Since there weren’t any weddings or events due to Covid-19, we didn’t have a chance to sell any flowers this year. Thankfully we were able to donate to local doctor’s offices for the patients to enjoy, so they didn’t go to waste! As if I didn’t have enough to do while tending to the roses and dahlias, I decided to grow heirloom pumpkins. As a naturally competitive person, I tried to outdo myself every week. I read countless articles on how to grow pumpkins and learned quite a bit about watering, fertilization, and varietals. I can honestly tell you that I am officially counting down until next spring so I can plant even more! They were a lot of work and super temperamental, but I love a good challenge. The best part is my ducks are really enjoying the seeds!
If you love gardening as much as I do or have a family member who does, you’re in luck! Today, I’m excited to share a few of my favorite garden must haves and holiday gift ideas from Amazon! As a Prime member, I typically shop here for fertilizer, seeds, or a last-minute pair of pruning shears! I just saw that my favorite garden roses are available for purchase. I’m excited to share a few that you must add to your 2021 garden! I hope you love the garden gift ideas I shared in my holiday gift guide for gardeners. As always, please feel free to check out my Amazon storefront for even more garden essentials, home decor favorites, fashion must haves, and more!

Garden Roses For Sale On Amazon
Eek! I am so excited that Heirloom Roses is on Amazon. We have purchased roses from them for many years! They have quite a few gorgeous garden roses including Koko Loko, Eden Rose, which are all incredibly popular. Next year I plan on doing a blog post on the best garden roses and will definitely feature even more! We have over 450 roses and plan on planting more this coming year at our flower farm, RoseCandi. We are on Facebook and on Instagram if you’d like to check out our garden roses and get some gardening ideas!
Here are a few photos of Koko Loko rose! We have about six plants and I plan on buying more. It’s the best! We love including it here and there in bouquets. It’s just so gorgeous!

If there’s one rose that has a great shelf life, it’s definitely Koko Loko. Once I cut it, it lasts days in the vase. With that being said, it doesn’t take long for buds to bloom! I always make sure to cut them in bud form because they bloom very quickly on the plant.

Have you had a chance to check out my Eden Rose Trellis post? Our trellis has been featured on Victoria Magazine’s Instagram account among others! It is one thing our flower farm is known for and has been the backdrop for quite a few photo shoots! Heirloom sold out of pink Eden. Darn, it was available last night! They do have it available in white Eden, and red Eden though!
Yay! I just found a pink Eden climber rose through a different seller on Amazon and it has great reviews! If you’d like a pink Eden, make sure you grab it ASAP. It makes a great holiday gift and is selling out very quickly!!!

My angel boy Fred and me in front of our trellis.

Closeup of this pretty in pink Eden climber rose!

This is how the rose looks as it grows older! It’s absolutely stunning!

Bulbs and Seeds Make Great Gifts
Have you ever shopped for bulbs and seeds online? I love shopping at local nurseries and online for my garden necessities. Now is a great time to buy dahlia tubers and seeds for summer. Make it easy for mom or dad (or any loved one for that matter!) by buying a cute pot, some dirt, fertilizer, and a bulb or seeds! He or she will love growing flowers, vegetables, etc. The best part is every time he or she sees the plant growing on their patio or in their garden, they will think of you! It’s the perfect holiday gift for gardeners and will be something you guys can chat about on the phone or in-person this coming year.
PS: I already started buying my pumpkin seeds for next fall because it was so hard to find seeds last spring due to the pandemic. None of us knows what 2021 is going to look like. Hopefully, it will be much better and we won’t have to worry about this, but just in case it isn’t you may want to shop early at your local nursery or on Amazon!
White scabiosa is one of my favorite fillers! I love adding it to garden bouquets.

I found out this summer that I’m passionate about growing pumpkins! I actually bought this book called “The Growing Season: How I Built a New Life And Saved An American Farm” by Sarah Frey aka “The Pumpkin Queen”. She is one of the top pumpkin growers in the country. I plan on reading it during the chilly winter months when there is not much to do in the garden! With that being said, I am counting down to next spring when I can plant even more heirloom pumpkins! If you have a piece of land or are interested in growing pumpkins, I highly recommend trying it! It is a lot of work, but the results are very rewarding. Just make sure the squirrels stay away. In 2019 I tried growing some for the first time but the squirrels ate all my plants numerous times! Next year I’m planting more pink porcelain doll, speckled hound seeds, lumina white, and that’s just the beginning!

Heat Mat For Starting Seeds Indoors

My mom is typically my guinea pig when I purchase garden tools and essentials! She’s the expert so if there’s something I want to try, I let her give it a go! 😉 A few years ago she told me she wanted a heat mat, so I bought this best selling one. It’s under $13 and does a great job to start seeds indoors.
One year we actually started sweet pea seeds in the house (with this heat mat) in December because the seeds we planted in September never came up!

Amazon Garden Tools Bag
I bought my mom a similar garden tools bag for Christmas a few years ago, but unfortunately, the best seller is currently sold out. This 9 piece garden tool set (with bag) is an absolute MUST! It comes with a small shovel for planting bulbs, pruning shears, gloves, and so much more! The thing I love the most about it is that it’s great for organizing the tools we already have on our farm. It has lots of pockets, which is awesome! I fill them with drippers, tags, flags, and everything we need for the garden and repairing broken drips. Amazon has a huge selection of garden bags to choose from in the style and print of your choice!

My Favorite Battery Powered Weed Eaters
My dad always did the weed eating when I was growing up, and for some reason, I was always under the impression that you had to be very strong and have a lot of upper body strength to even attempt it. I’m fairly petite and held the belief that I couldn’t nor should I try to weed eat. A few years ago my brother bought my mom a lightweight battery-powered weed eater for Christmas. She absolutely loves it and last summer I thought I’d give it a try. I can honestly tell you that I absolutely love it! It’s my favorite form of meditation. I don’t know if it’s because of the weight of it or the fact that I’m so focused on cutting weeds around the roses and don’t want to cut my foot that it relaxes me? All I know is I adore it! In fact, I bought another one a few months later. I use it to weed eat around the garden roses, dahlias, our brick patio where weeds like to grow through, and more. If you’re searching for a weed eater, I highly recommend any weed eaters by Black and Decker. Amazon has quite the selection and extra batteries too!
Here are a few facts on this great 20 volt Black & Decker weed eater!

Bags Of Soil
A bag of soil may not be the most ideal gift in the world! 😉 It will make a great gift paired with bulbs, seeds, or a new plant and pot! Not every neighborhood has a home improvement store, and not everyone has a truck or an SUV to bring soil home in their car. Amazon makes it so easy to shop for soil! I’ve bought quite a few bags from Amazon, and they’re delivered with Free Shipping! There are quite a few different brands and sizes to choose from. We really like Miracle-Gro Moisture Control, and I bought about five or six bags to fill our raised beds with, transplant roses, and more last summer! I make my mom’s day every time I buy bags of soil for her. I think she prefers that over anything! HAHA

The Most Popular Straw Hat

A few years ago I fell in love with this popular Brixton Joanna Straw Hat and have been obsessed ever since. In fact, I featured it in my summer hat post last year! As a rosacea sufferer, I have to be very careful when out in the sun because I’ll break out and get red very easily. Not only that, I firmly believe in protecting my skin. I wish I’d been this careful in my 20s!
This hat is not only perfect for working in the garden, but it is a hot fashion trend! I wear it with my distressed denim shorts and a cute top, with my favorite casual dress and more during the spring, summer, and fall months! There are so many options! PS: This hat always sells out as we get closer to summer, be sure to grab it ASAP for 2021!
Garden Books We Love

We started our Instagram account in 2013 when there were just a few flower farmers on the Gram! We quickly learned about Floret and fell in love with all the gorgeous dahlias they were growing. Floret is the leader in farming and we have purchased their gardening books over the years! If you’re looking to grow flowers, start a farm, or learn how to create your own floral arrangements. You’ll love these phenomenal books! They actually have a new book called “Discovering Dahlias” coming out in March. I can’t wait to preorder it on Amazon!

Here are a few other garden gift ideas from MY Amazon Wish List
If you have a dual chamber compost tumbler that you love, can you please let me know ASAP, please?! I’m hoping that Santa will bring me a dual chamber compost tumbler so I can start composting leaves, coffee grounds, and vegetable scraps.
There are quite a few that I have my eye on that are under $100!

Rose Pruning Gloves
If you grow roses, you’re going to want a strong thick pair of thorn proof gardening gloves so the thorns don’t get through when pruning or cutting roses for bouquets. My mom always wears gloves now after having a thorn break off in her knuckle. She actually had to have surgery to remove it because it got infected and her knuckle was about triple the size. Wear your gloves, friends! xoxo
This pair has great reviews and is under $20!

Amazon Raised Beds For Vegetable Gardening
We have raised dahlias in raised beds for years! We planted most of them in the field this year for the first time ever, but still have quite a few in beds. I don’t think we’ll ever get rid of (the beds). They’re easier to weed and look so pretty!
I plan on planting vegetables in mine next year as well!

Mason Bee House
I have bought ladybugs on Amazon and plan on buying more this spring. I’m officially obsessed with this mason bee house! You can never have enough bees in your garden. Without bees, you don’t have a garden! PS: If you’re interested in learning more about bees, I highly recommend watching this Netflix documentary called “Rotten.” It was very interesting. It’s made me more aware of the importance of growing flower meadows!

Herbal gardens
If your loved one does a lot of cooking or loves tea, he or she definitely needs an herbal garden kit! This herbal tea garden contains burlap grow bags; Mint / Peppermint Seeds – Mentha Piperita, Chamomile Seeds – Matricaria Chamaemelum, Lemon Balm Seeds – Melissa officinalis & Lavender Seeds for planting Lavandula Angustifolia; peat potting soil discs, pruning shears, stainless steel tea infuser, bamboo plant markers, wooden gift box, instructions! Believe it or not but this kit is less than $33 with free shipping! This is the perfect self care gift for everyone!

I’ve recently started eating healthier and starting to use more fresh herbs! I love that this indoor herb garden includes: potting soil, peat pots, 5 herb seed basil, cilantro, parsley, sage, thyme. It’s under $30 with free Prime shipping!

Aerogardens For Indoor Gardening
If you live in a condo, don’t have a patio or you’re just looking to grow summer vegetables this winter, you need an Aerogarden. Amazon has quite a few different ones to choose from in a variety of sizes and price ranges. Some are under $100, while others are well over $500! They definitely have something for everyone and are beloved by many.
I bought one on QVC years ago and I’m really looking forward to growing tomatoes, and lettuce in mine this winter. There’s nothing quite like homegrown tomatoes and eating leafy greens! Gardening is good for the soul, especially during the chilly winter months. 🙂
This Aerogarden is under $90!

Hummingbird Feeder
One of the many things I love about gardening is all the hummingbirds that flock to my flowers in the summer and warm fall months! These beautiful pollinators truly make me happy and are said to bring good luck. If you or a loved one loves hummingbirds as much as I do, you’ll definitely want a beautiful new hummingbird feeder! I love this one in rose gold, it is spectacular.

Floret Farms Puzzle
Is your state on lockdown? Ours is. The weather is still warm in our area so we’re able to spend plenty of time outdoors during the day. Once the weather gets chilly and I’m not able to do much outside, I’m looking forward to starting a puzzle, preferably this pretty Floret Farms puzzle with gorgeous blooms. It was sold out earlier this year when the pandemic started, but I’m happy to say it’s back in stock! It’ll make a great holiday gift or stocking stuffer!
