As a self-described beauty junkie, I live for new beauty products, hair tools, and essentials! Like many of you, my love of makeup started by watching my mom, aunt, and grandma! Not only does Amazon Beauty offer great skincare products, but they have amazing hair tools and gadgets! Over the last few months, I’ve bought a few new products that I’m excited to share with you! Budget-Friendly Manicure and Pedicure Essentials
One of the things I’ve hoped to accomplish since the pandemic started was to stop biting my nails. I know this is a terrible unhealthy habit, and this is something I’ve been working hard at over the years. Thankfully, I’ve gotten a bit better! Here are a few nail products that I love. This glass nail file set comes with two nail files. It has amazing reviews and is under $8! I bought it a few months ago and I absolutely LOVE it. It works so well! My nails have never been smoother and the nail polish glides right on.
I’d heard great things about this gel-like base coat and decided to give it a try a few years ago. I use it every time I give myself a manicure or pedicure. You can use it as a base coat or as a clear coat. I highly recommend it!
I’m not the best at applying nail polish and used to splurge on designer nail polish hoping they’d make a difference! I started buying OPI nail polish and really love the colors, and feel they last a long time! I garden quite a bit and haven’t had a problem with chipping. The only problem I have is when I’m tempted to bite my nails! 😉 I love the popular colors “Funny Bunny” (white), and “Lincoln Park After Dark” (dark purple) and use them the most.

The Best Fragrance-Free Nail Polish Remover
The Karma Organics nail polish remover is one of my favorite beauty products ever! We all know how potent nail polish removers can be, and as I migraine sufferer I try my best to stay away from them. I had heard about this nail polish remover years ago on the Today show and ordered it right away! I absolutely love it because it’s fragrance-free and I don’t get headaches when using it! It is vegan, cruelty-free, and is acetone-free. It lasts forever. I bought this bottle last year and still have quite a bit left. It is the best!
Amazon Hair Must Haves I LOVE!
Up until 2016, I had a love-hate relationship with my hair. 99.9% of the time I absolutely hated it! I stumbled on the best shampoo and conditioner and have been in love with my hair ever since. Here are a few hair essentials I adore from Amazon!
This scalp massager is technically for shampooing your hair, but I use it all the time even when I’m not in the shower! It provides the best scalp massage and relieves tension. It’s a definite win-win, especially at under $8.
I’m really sensitive to fragrances and had purchased a few root coverup sprays, but unfortunately got a migraine right away. I stumbled on this root coverup product and was hooked right away. All you do is brush it on and it covers gray roots instantly. I love that it’s fragrance-free! It comes in seven colors. I use the medium brown, and my mom uses the blonde! I highly recommend this product, and use it when my roots first start showing!
1.5 Inch Curling Iron Attachment
I bought the T3 curling wand trio set three years ago and I love it! I’d heard great things about their curling iron attachments and purchased the 1.5 inch curling iron attachment in December and quickly became obsessed! This is the only one I use on my long thick hair. My curls are voluminous, and hold well! PS: I’ve never seen the price this low! Since hair salons have been closed in California for the last few months, my mom and I have been dyeing each other’s hair! My friend who is a hairstylist told me to try this Clairol Professional hair dye that covers gray since I was told that my gray roots are resistant to color and that’s why the coverage is bad. Well, I beg to differ! This product covered my grays (we mixed it with a 20 developer) and my hair looks amazing! FYI This neutral brown is a dark brown. I like it a lot, but I may try a 4n in the future!
If you’re going to dye your hair at home, I highly recommend using Aquaphor on your skin! When my mom dyed my hair the first time I forgot to use this, and I had the hardest time getting the dye off my neck. I now put this around my scalp, my ears, and on my neck, and the dye washes off easily.
How I Wash My Makeup Brushes
Beauty experts, makeup artists, and bloggers have mentioned over the years how much they love Dawn dish soap for washing makeup brushes! I wash mine once a week with it and highly recommend it!
Sigma Makeup Brush Silicone Cleaning Mat
We all know how important it is to clean our makeup brushes! When your brushes and sponges are clean, your makeup goes on smoother. As someone whose skin breaks out with acne and rosacea pustules, I clean my makeup brushes at least once a week to help prevent acne breakouts. I bought this makeup brush cleanser mat a few years ago and I LOVE it! It’s so easy to use. You just glide your soapy brushes on it, and it cleans them right away. Once I bought this pad I started washing my brushes more frequently. It does a great job and cleanses them in no time.

Once a week I wash my face with a bio glycolic cleanser and the instructions ask to rinse off with a soft washcloth. I stumbled on these and have been hooked ever since! I used to tan in a tanning bed religiously, and wish I never had. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to take care of your skin, even though my family stressed that to me at a very young age. As someone with sensitive skin, I highly recommend this silk pillowcase! I’m a side sleeper and was breaking out terribly when using a flannel pillowcase in the winter. I always buy laundry detergent on Amazon that is free of dyes and fragrances at the recommendation of my grandma’s nurse years ago. I used to break out really bad with cystic-like acne on my neck. A few doctors told me it was caused by stress! Thankfully the nurse told me to stop using fabric softeners, and use fragrance-free detergent for sensitive skin and that made all the difference in the world! If you have really sensitive skin and tend to break out, I highly recommend changing laundry detergents. This changed my life! I hope it does the same for you. 🙂
Facial stickers for wrinkles are all the rage these days! I’d heard great things about Frownies and decided to give them a try. I honestly feel like they put me in a better mood! The reason I say that is if I’m wearing them on my forehead, on my 11 lines, and on my temples, I can tell when I’m going to clench my jaw or about to frown due to stress. I know that I need to take a breath and relax. I’ve noticed my forehead lines in the middle start to diminish a bit. I typically wear them when I’m on the computer, and will start wearing them to bed to see if I notice more of a difference!
I haven’t used this TheraPearl mask as a hot mask, but I frequently use it as an ice mask! I have TMJ so I tend to use it when I have a flare-up or on hot summer days! It instantly cools me off and makes me feel refreshed.
