The 4th of July has always been near and dear to my heart. Growing up, we spent the holiday gathered at my grandparents’ home, surrounded by family, food, and a sense of joy that defined summer. My grandpa grilled the best BBQ chicken, while my grandma, mom, and aunt made incredible side dishes that we looked forward to all year. I was in charge of setting the table and making homemade whipped cream by hand. While I am thankful for the memories, I will admit I prefer using my KitchenAid stand mixer, it makes delicious homemade whipped cream in just a few minutes!
Every year I do my best to honor those memories while creating new ones. This Independence Day I’m excited to partner with Wayfair to share the perfect 4th of July tablescape that is easy to recreate and will wow your guests. One of the many reasons I love shopping at Wayfair is because of their amazing selection of seasonal decor and holiday entertaining essentials. Whether you need outdoor dining sets, themed plates, festive napkins, timeless highball glasses or patriotic accents, Wayfair has an incredible variety at every price point. They also offer free shipping, which is a bonus!

How to Style a 4th of July Table Step By Step

Designing a holiday table doesn’t have to be complicated. I focused on a few key pieces to pull the look together with ease and trendy details!
1. Start with a Classic Tablecloth

Nothing says “All-American picnic” like gingham, buffalo check or plaid. I chose this Gracie Oaks Estacia Checkered 100% Cotton Tablecloth as the foundation. It’s gorgeous, available in many different colors and is very versatile! You may recognize it from my Easter tablescape, which is definitely one of my favorites! This tablecloth is soft, machine washable, wrinkle-resistant and is perfect for spring, summer and the 4th of July! It adds an instant dose of charm to any outdoor setting, and is available in a few different sizes!
2. Use Star Shaped Melamine Dinnerware for Style and Durability

As a Dallas Cowboys fan, I will admit that these blue star melamine plates are not just perfect for the 4th of July, but they will definitely come in handy during the football season, which is just a few months away! I styled each place setting with these fabulous and durable plates, which are ideal for indoor or outdoor use and are also dishwasher safe! They are fun, festive, and are also available in red or white!
3. Add Coordinating Napkins with a Patriotic Touch

If you love the look of Americana decor, you will absolutely adore these Gracie Oaks Coveney Cotton Geometric Square Napkins (Set of 6). They feature vintage-inspired blue stars and red trim that tie in perfectly with the plates while giving each place setting a charming layered look. My social media feed is filled with 4th of July quilts this summer, and I’m coveting these vintage inspired red, white and blue patchwork napkins!
4. Elevate Your Flatware for a Luxe Picnic Feel

To dress things up just a bit, I used my signature gold faux bamboo flatware, which will elevate any tablescape.
5. Mix in Textured Drinkware

Wayfair has an amazing selection of gorgeous blue glasses in a wide array of styles – from vintage inspired to classic, contemporary and modern! I feature my blue hobnail glasses which give the table a vintage vibe that adds a bit of nostalgia to my tablescape!
6. Keep Beverages Easy and Breezy

I served homemade strawberry lemonade in my beloved Libbey glass pitcher! It is classic, heavy duty and a staple in my entertaining arsenal!
My 4th of July Menu: Easy, Delicious, and Crowd-Pleasing

Every great 4th of July party needs good food! I kept the menu simple and seasonal with a mix of savory and sweet favorites:
• Hot Dogs on of my beloved Perlette melamine dinner plate for easy serving
• Corn and cucumber salad served in a beautiful and timeless white salad bowl
• Strawberry lemonade in a clear pitcher
• A festive charcuterie board with berries, crackers, cheese, and candy in red star bowls
• Red White & Blue Cookies displayed on a white cake stand • A decadent Bundt cake with ganache drizzle, topped with red, white, and blue firecracker lollipops, baked in my Nordic Ware Heritage Cake Pan

This menu came together quickly and looked beautiful on the table. It was also easy to prep in advance—perfect for stress-free hosting.
A Patriotic 4th of July Charcuterie Board That Steals the Show

One of my favorite parts of the celebration was styling a red, white, and blue charcuterie board that felt festive, fun, and perfect for both kids and adults. I built the board around 3 of my red star dessert bowls, which added such a cute patriotic touch and helped keep sweet and savory items separated.
To start, I cut Brie, Swiss cheese, and watermelon into star shapes. These added a whimsical detail and made the board feel instantly more celebratory. I placed the cheese and watermelon stars in alternating rows so the colors popped against each other.

In one red star bowl, I served a Boursin-style cheese dip topped with chopped tomatoes, chopped garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and basil —think bruschetta meets creamy dip. It was a huge hit and paired perfectly with crackers, and veggies.

I filled another red star bowl with classic red, white, and blue candies; and a third with buttery popcorn, which gave the board a nice crunchy texture.

For smaller touches, I used a few ramekins to tuck in colorful accents:
• Blueberries in one ramekin
• Sour red, white, and blue candies in another (these were fun and tart, a great contrast to the chocolate)

The most unique detail was a DIY treat my mom and I made using white chocolate candy melts and a long silicone mold. She poured in the melted chocolate and filled each mold cavity with alternating raspberries and blueberries to create a layered American flag effect. Once the candy set, we popped them out and placed them on the board—they looked beautiful and tasted even better!
This board wasn’t just pretty—it was a perfect mix of salty, sweet, and fresh flavors that felt completely on theme for the 4th. It’s easy to recreate with your favorite cheeses, fruits, and snacks, and the star-shaped bowls really pull it all together.
What I Used on My 4th of July Charcuterie Board:
• Star-shaped Brie, Swiss cheese, and watermelon slices
• Boursin-style cheese dip topped with tomatoes and herbs (served in a red star bowl)
• Red, white, and blue M&M’s in a second red star bowl
• Popcorn in a third red star bowl for salty crunch
• Blueberries in a white ramekin
• Sour red, white & blue candy belts in another ramekin • White chocolate flag candy: made using melted white chocolate, raspberries, and blueberries layered in a long silicone mold
