If there’s ever been a year where I’ve donated more clothing than ever, it’s definitely 2021. My body changed quite a bit over the last year, the jeans I loved no longer fit, and I have gone through and updated my wardrobe countless times over the last six months or so. I started getting rid of sentimental pieces I’ve held onto for years, items that are on trend that no longer fit and that’s just the beginning. One of the best things about clearing out one’s closet and starting fresh is it gives you the excuse to shop for new pieces to love! I have purchased quite a few casual summer fashion favorites that I adore and continue to wear time and time again!Â
This year I started wearing shorts more often and I’m so glad I did! I found three pairs I absolutely adore and I know I will wear them for years to come. This Amazon dress is the one I live in on hot summer days when the temps hit above 100 degrees. I finally found a pair of polarized sunglasses I love last week. Before the summer ends I definitely want to feature a few of my favorite workout clothes! This year I have really started to enjoy working out more – whether it’s walking more or doing Youtube exercise videos! I am definitely just a novice in this department, but after reading Atomic Habits I’ve learned to appreciate that! I’m taking baby steps so I don’t get overwhelmed. Must Have Summer Accessories
My eyes have really bothered me this summer. As a migraine sufferer, I learned that I need to wear polarized sunglasses. I own quite a few designer pairs of sunglasses and automatically thought they were polarized due to the price. Boy was I wrong! They were all non-polarized. I started doing research and learned that Diff sunglasses are polarized. Nordstrom carries them so I started shopping online for the perfect pair. I purchased this Lele Sadoughi Faux Leather Knotted Headband in matte black in January and have been obsessed ever since. As someone who suffers from headaches, this is the only headband brand I can wear without pain! I now own it in leopard print and have one in black velvet with faux pearls. Lele Sadoughi headbands are the best headbands I’ve ever had! I wear mine when working out, in the garden or just want my hair out of my face.
My Favorite Shoes Under $200
If this post featured shoes over $200, I would have certainly featured my Golden Goose sneakers and Dior Dways since I wear them all the time! Today, I’m excited to share four pairs of shoes that I’ve bought over the last few months that I wear constantly! First up are these must have Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 2 Running Shoes in white with leopard print! I love leopard print and fell in love with them instantly. I wear these shoes when I’m working out indoors since I would hate to ruin them. Since I live in the country and there is dust and dirt everywhere, I can’t get these beauties dirty! 😉
This is my third pair of React Flyknit sneakers and I know it won’t be my last. They are so comfortable. I have been walking a lot more this year, I try my best to exceed my step count daily and I can always tell when I don’t wear these shoes as I have aches and pains. They are the comfiest sneakers I own! I find them to be true to size. I just wish they came in black with leopard print as I would scoop them up right now!
