If there’s one thing I’ve learned in 2017 (all 16 days!) it’s how just taking a few minutes to say what you’re thankful for (being alive, electricity, the heater coming on when it’s freezing, family, pets, etc.) can change your mood.

The other day I was feeling pretty anxious during our recent rainstorm/flood and wasn’t sure if we would have to be evacuated. My mood instantly changed and the “butterflies” in my stomach started to calm down as soon as I started thinking about how grateful I was for the bare necessities. Thankfully we didn’t have to evacuate, but I learned an important lesson and that’s giving THANKS! It’s the little things in life that matter most, my friends…especially taking care of one’s health and wellbeing.
