This week we’re supposed to experience record-breaking heat here in California and I am not looking forward to it. Having the air conditioner on 24/7 makes my skin and nose really dry, wreaks havoc on my plants, and don’t get me started on trying to sleep at night. I tend to toss and turn quite a bit even though I have my fan on all night during heat waves. I know I don’t have much control over the weather (even though I wish I did!) but I do have control over the bedding I choose. Over the weekend I started searching for gorgeous well-made summer quilts that will keep me cool from June until October. While doing research I learned that cotton, linen, and bamboo are the best materials to look for, which is helping me to narrow down my search!
