How To Create A Rustic Fall Tablescape

As a kid, I was in charge of setting the table at every family celebration, whether it was at home or at my maternal grandparents’ or paternal grandparents’ homes. The tablescapes were never elaborate, but they were beautiful and filled with love and in my opinion, that’s all that matters. I want my family and friends to feel welcome when they walk into my house and take a seat at my dining table, and that’s what I try to invoke every time I create a tablescape. The Pioneer Woman Dining Essentials Used To Create My Rustic Fall Tablescape

Those who have followed the blog for years know that I am a huge fan of The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond. I interviewed Ree once, and she is as nice as you can imagine. A few years ago I purchased her clear tumbler glasses and they’re still going strong. I drink two glasses of water first thing in the morning in my favorite The Pioneer Woman glass. Once the day progresses I’ll make a smoothie using my Vitamix (5200 series) and pour it into the same glass. The glasses are priceless, they’re so durable and heavy! Today, I’m excited to share a few of my favorite The Pioneer Woman dining essentials that I use quite often! Next on my list is definitely her ice cream maker.

The Pioneer Woman Cowgirl Lace Dinnerware Set

It’s no secret, the items from The Pioneer Woman’s collection are at a great price point and are very well made! Over the summer I purchased The Pioneer Woman Cowgirl Lace 12-Piece Dinnerware Set in the neutral color linen. The set includes four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four bowls! I absolutely adore them and use them quite often. They were perfect for summer and now that we’re into fall, I plan on using them more often, especially with Thanksgiving just a few months away.

The Pioneer Woman Cowgirl Lace Mugs

How gorgeous are these vintage inspired The Pioneer Woman Cowgirl Lace mugs in the color linen? I am obsessed! They are not only perfect for the farmhouse or rustic home but perfect for the traditional tablescape as well. They are machine washable and very easy to clean. I love the shape, they’re just beautiful. Speaking of mugs, have I mentioned how much I LOVE my Keurig Special Edition Coffee Maker? I use it to make coffee, a shot of espresso, apple cider, and tea. If you’re hosting a small dinner party or inviting a few friends over for brunch or dessert, you can make the cups individually or have them choose which K-Cup they’d like to use. The best part is if one person wants coffee, and another wants tea or apple cider, you don’t have to clean the machine in-between! I would suggest using the 10-ounce button (on your Keurig) when using these mugs!

The Pioneer Woman Vintage Floral Pie Pan

How beautiful is this red and white The Pioneer Woman vintage floral pie plate? It is absolutely gorgeous! Not only is it pretty on the outside, but it is just as beautiful on the inside. My mom and I used it to bake an apple crumb pie from the Betty Crocker cookbook! She added a few ingredients to the crumb topping including chocolate chips, which tastes absolutely amazing. I highly recommend adding some chocolate chips to the mixture if you’re a chocolate fan like I am.

The Pioneer Woman Cake Stand

If you checked out my lemon tablescape or my s’mores tablescape from the summer, you will recognize this gorgeous Pioneer Woman Timeless Beauty 10-Inch Cake Stand in the color “milk white”. It comes with a glass cover and looks great with or without it. Words can’t express how much I love this simple, beautiful, and timeless cake stand, which is also available in mint green. It is effortlessly chic.

This morning we made a beautiful pineapple meringue cake, which looks so gorgeous on this cake stand! This stand is perfect for a birthday, a bridal shower, a baby shower, or even a small intimate wedding.

Gorgeous Neutral Tablecloth with Pom Pom Detailing

I had so much fun creating my beautiful tablescapes over the summer with fun and unique tablecloths. Late last month I shared a few fall table runners on the blog, which I absolutely adore, but had the hardest time finding the perfect tablecloth for autumn. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted a bright and beautiful paisley print, a farmhouse-inspired gingham, or something neutral. When I stumbled on this stunning DriftAway Pom Pom Tassel Linen Table Cloth in beige, I knew I had to have it! I love everything about it, especially the fun Pom Pom detailing. This is one that can be used throughout the year with neutrals and bright and colorful decor. This rectangular table linen is cost-effective and looks great on my round pedestal dining table.

Classic Footed Charcuterie Board

I love this Heritage Lace Farmhouse Footed Charcuterie Serving Board in the color “natural.” It is less than $50 and will look great on any dining table, coffee table, or accent table in your home. It can be used as a charcuterie board or as a serving board! Today I featured my gorgeous cake and my vase filled with fresh flowers and pumpkins on it. This weekend my mom and I are planning on making a few caramel apples, and they will look great on this fantastic board!

Large Glass Cylinder Floral Vase

Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with this Libbey Glasswares Wide Cylinder Floral Vase? I have purchased quite a few in the last few months because they look so great filled with dahlias, garden roses, and hydrangeas. I put a few white mini Gooligan pumpkins in the vase, then added garden roses and dahlias! Isn’t this bouquet phenomenal? The vase is less than $5 and ships for free! Just think what a beautiful gift this would be for a friend or family member! PS: I didn’t keep the real pumpkins in the vase for more than five hours as I’m not sure how long the pumpkins will last submerged in water.

Classic Cloth Napkins and Silverware

Call me old-fashioned, but I love using cloth napkins! Not only is using cloth napkins sustainable, but it’s also cheaper in the long run and it really adds a timeless touch to a tablescape! These Mainstays Solid Napkins in the color “arctic white” come in a set of two and are less than $2 (for two). Now is a great time to stock up before the holiday season commences!

Must Have KitchenAid Stand Mixer

Words can’t express how much I LOVE my KitchenAid Stand Mixer! I purchased it in white a few years ago and can’t get enough of it. One of my favorite things to make is these fantastic homemade marshmallows! Today, my mom and I took a “self-care day” and made this delicious pie and cake! Baking, creating a tablescape, making bouquets, and working in the garden truly are our favorite ways to relax and take time for ourselves. Using a KitchenAid stand mixer makes baking so much easier. I haven’t bought any new attachments yet, but I have the ice cream attachment, the hobnail bowl, and the pasta attachment on my wish list! Baking is so much fun, I may never work again! 😉

How Walmart Makes Growing Pumpkins Easier And Much More Efficient

If you know me, you know how much I LOVE growing pumpkins, it’s something I look forward to during the chilly winter and early spring months. I typically plant them in May, but due to weather and other factors, I didn’t get a chance to. Unfortunately, my pumpkins weren’t planted until mid-to-late June, and I was worried I wouldn’t have pumpkins until at least October. Thankfully I live in warm sunny California where we get a lot of sunshine, and my mini pumpkins started producing in August. My pumpkins have been thriving for over a month! Did you know that Walmart sells pumpkin seeds for planting? They have quite a variety to choose from! This year I planted more warty Galeux d Eysines pumpkins (aka peanut pumpkins) than I typically do, and I absolutely adore them. I have a feeling next year I will plant more cinderella pumpkins. I like to switch things up every year. Another great thing about Walmart is they sell the fertilizer too. After doing some research on growing pumpkins I learned that the Miracle-Gro Liquafeed is really beneficial. I used that toward the beginning and middle of the growing season.

Now that my larger pumpkins have really started flourishing, I started using the Miracle-Gro Performance Organics Blooms fertilizer. This is one of my favorites! I used it quite a bit last year to fertilize my pumpkins and the dahlias. They did exceptionally well last year! This year they’re really starting to produce. Fingers crossed that I will have an abundance of pumpkins soon.

The Importance Of Self Care Days
