The Best Shampoo For Dry & Damaged Hair
I used to use Drybar’s Sake Bomb Shampoo and absolutely loved it! While I’m not sure if it’s been discontinued, I have not been able to find it in stock in months. I decided to try the Drybar Liquid Glass Smoothing Shampoo because I’ve used other products from their Liquid Glass Line and love them. This amazing shampoo helps fight frizz, is very moisturizing for long dry thick hair (like mine), and is great for all hair types. I love that it’s created without sulfates, SLS, and SLES!
I use this shampoo twice a week since my hair is naturally dry. While the description states that it straightens hair, I will say that I don’t find that my wavy hair is any straighter. I will say that it’s easier to manage, my hair feels hydrated and I absolutely love it!
The Best Conditioner for Dry & Damaged Hair
I used to use Drybar’s Mudslide Mask on my hair but unfortunately, they deemed it “limited edition” and it sold out months ago! It was the best hair mask I have ever used. I used to use that every other time I’d shampoo/condition my hair with Sake Bomb. A few months ago About six months ago or so I started using the DryBar Liquid Glass Smoothing Conditioner and I can’t get enough of it! My hair has less frizz and it is very well hydrated. The shampoo and conditioner are pricey, but the phenomenal effect this brand has had on my once unruly hair is well worth it. My hair feels conditioned, smooth, and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky in any way. It doesn’t matter how much DryBar Liquid Glass Conditioner I use on my hair, it never feels heavy and my hair looks healthy and feels smooth.
I use this conditioner every time I shampoo my hair with Liquid Glass and On The Rocks Clarifying Shampoo (which is not currently in stock).

The Best Root Cover-Up
I am obsessed with the COLOR WOW Root Coverup Powder. As someone who is sensitive to various scents, it has been hard finding unscented root coverup products to cover up gray roots in-between hair appointments. I don’t remember how I heard about this particular root coverup powder, but I have used it for many years now and am so glad that more people have heard about it! It comes in a variety of shades and covers up gray roots easily and effortlessly. The powder comes with a wide brush and a smaller brush and is formulated without waxes, dyes, or parabens. All you have to do is dip the brush in the powder and apply it to your roots. That’s it! The coverup is waterproof, but it does rinse out when you wash your hair with shampoo.
I have gotten so many people hooked on this product. It’s the best!
The Best Heat Protectants
There is so much to love about the Drybar Liquid Glass Smoothing Sealant (AKA Drybar Liquid Glass Moisture-Rich Miracle Smoothing Sealant). It is perfect for those of us with thick coarse hair! All you do is spray it on from roots to ends. It lasts three shampoos. This product is cruelty-free, created without sulfates, SLS, and SLES, which I love. The hair sealant is formulated for wavy, curly, and coily hair. It works very well on my thick, coarse wavy hair. I use it before I use my Dyson AirWrap and I used to use it every time I’d blowdry my hair with my T3 hairdryer (before I purchased my AirWrap).
The Liquid Glass Smoothing Sealant works well with the complementing shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels hydrated and it never looks greasy. Not only does it leave my hair feeling hydrated and frizz-free it is also a heat protectant! It will protect hair from heat (up to 450 degrees). Most flat irons, curling wands, and curling irons heat up to 450 degrees, so you don’t have to worry about damaging your hair before you blow-dry, straighten or curl it!
Here are some additional facts from the Sephora website it is “Free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates SLS & SLES. It is also vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.” What’s not to love?
I love the Drybar Hot Toddy Heat Protectant in lotion form, but sadly Sephora is either sold out of the lotion or no longer carries it! If you prefer using a lightweight heat protectant mist, you can’t go wrong with the Drybar Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist. I have a couple of samples of the mist and think it’s fantastic. It is very easy to spray on your hair, smells great, and is perfect for protecting your hair from the damage that comes with using heat tools! It is available in mini size for travel or regular 4.6 oz size! It is perfect for every hair type and will leave your hair feeling fantastic.
The Best Hair Clips For Thick Unruly Hair
Those of you with thick hair know what a struggle it is to find hair clips that will hold your hair without breaking or will hold your hair without it falling down! I know it was always a struggle for me. When I made my first Drybar hair purchase over six years ago I decided to buy the brand’s hair clips because the caption said they were strong enough to hold thick hair! I knew my hair would be a great test, so I decided to buy the pack of four Drybar Hold Me Hair Clips. I’m so glad I did. This truly is one of my best purchases ever. I have since bought a few more packs because I use them all the time. They’re not only perfect for sectioning one’s hair before styling it, but are great when working out, cooking, or if you just want to have your hair up. The Dyson AirWrap Is The BEST Hair Styling Tool
Like many of you, I have watched countless beauty, fashion, and lifestyle influencers talk about how great the Dyson AirWrap is on Instagram and Tiktok. They’d said it was fantastic for every hair type and didn’t cause any heat damage or very little at that. I really surprised myself at the last Sephora sale in November and decided to splurge on it. I was so excited for it to arrive, especially since it sold out right away. As much as I don’t like washing and drying my hair more than a few times a week, I opened the package as soon as it arrived and decided to give it a try. The AirWrap Styler comes with five different attachments. I used the pre-styling dryer attachment, which takes your hair from wet to damp, and one of the smoothing brush attachments to dry and smooth it. I was very impressed by how shiny my hair looked.
The first few times I tried the AirWrap curling barrels I was left feeling defeated. I thought how could I spend this much money on a product when I can’t even curl my hair with it? I remember telling my mom and one of my friends who loves beauty products as much as I do that I was thinking about sending it back. Once I was finally able to watch a few hair tutorials by different influencers who have hair like mine I was blown away. It was a total game-changer!
Initially, I was using the AirWrap just like they’d shown it online where you just let it grab your hair, but it didn’t work well for me because I have such thick hair. The next time I used it, I held a small section of hair and encouraged the AirWrap Styler to grab the hair. I held it there for 10 seconds and then used the “cool shot” setting to set the curl. It worked so well that I decided to keep it. Every time I wash my hair, I use my Dyson. Sometimes I don’t even section my hair. I’ll just use a scrunchie or just a few hair clips and pull a few pieces and curl it that way.
The AirWrap barrel has arrows, which face away from you and guide your hair up the barrel. This article from British Vogue shares even more beneficial information! I still feel like a novice even though I’ve had it for a few months and plan on trying a few additional attachments. My hair looks and feels as though I’ve had a professional blowout every time I use it.

The Best Hair Tools On Sale
Over the years I’ve shared how much I love my T3 curling wands and curling irons! I think they’re fantastic. They heat up to 450 degrees, and hold curls very well! T3 curling tools are great for every type. Most people don’t have to heat their curling irons/wands up to 450 degrees, those of us with thick coarse hair definitely do! That is one of the many reasons I believe in great hair products and heat protectants. I also don’t recommend curling your hair with heat tools often as you don’t want to damage your hair. Thankfully T3 curling tools work so well that you don’t have to!
Over the years I’ve purchased the T3 Whirl Trio (which includes three wands and a base), T3 1.5” Interchangeable Clip Curling Barrel (for voluminous curls), and T3 1.25-inch curling iron for tighter curls. I highly recommend all three and think they’re fantastic!
Best Curling Wand For Shoulder Length Hair
Is it still cool to call shoulder length hair a lob? If so, then I highly recommend the Drybar The Wrap Party Styling Wand for lobbed hair. This was my favorite curling wand to use when my hair was about shoulder length and a bit longer. This is the tool I used for my profile picture on my Pinterest account! While I love my long hair, especially since it looks so healthy, I am always debating whether or not I should cut my hair again because I love this tool so much. It is very easy to use. The thing I love the most about The Wrap Party Styling Wand is the reverse taper. This is the only barrel I’ve ever seen that is reversed! Since it is ionic, this curling wand adds shine and fights frizz. It’s number one in my book!

Over the years I’ve purchased a few silk pillowcases because they’re good for acne-prone skin, and rosacea, and are supposedly good for your hair! Thankfully Slip silk pillowcases are in-stock and currently on sale! While I do my best to control how my hair looks during the day, it can be difficult to control one’s hair while asleep.
