I am very picky when it comes to shopping for furniture, home decor (and just about anything)! After growing tired of working with my laptop on the couch, I decided that 2017 was the year I’d buy a new writing desk. I had always wanted this French inspired desk by Hooker Furniture, and decided to splurge on it – on SALE.
Up until this point I was used to ordering items with white glove delivery, I wasn’t too sure about putting the desk together on my own. Luckily, I read the reviews and they all said it was easy to put together! I was up for the challenge, so I went for it.
The reviews were right, it was very easy to put together. The desk is well made and very sturdy. It can be used as a console table, or even a small dining table!
I have had this desk for three years now, and I’m still obsessed with it. I get so many compliments on it from friends, family and on social media. it definitely looks more expensive than what I paid for it.

Today, I wanted to share a few pictures of how I style and decorate my beautiful desk! It’s a grayish blue with gold accent detail. I love that it has a distressed vintage inspired/antique inspired appearance. The drawer pulls remind me of the beautiful buffet my grandma had in her home! They’re almost identical. I always cut a pretty bouquet of fresh flowers from my flower farm and set it on top.
This morning I cut a few dahlias! It’s been well over 100 degrees the last few days (and it isn’t going away anytime soon) so I decided to bring some flowers inside, since it’s way too hot to enjoy them outdoors.
I just bought the Day Designer planner from Anthro! I can’t wait to start using it along with this fun notepad where I list all the things I have to do for the day! Tuesday mornings are usually slow for me, since I spend so much time live blogging AGT videos! The rest of the week should be fairly busy, especially since I’ll be sharing the best Labor Day sales.
