Crisp air, cozy layers, and tables filled with comforting treats set the stage for gatherings big and small. This October, I partnered with Wayfair to style a fall dessert table that brings together everything I love about the season – from sweet s’mores to homemade caramel apples, warm drinks, and fresh flowers and pumpkins from the garden.

Wayfair is my go-to shopping destination for everything from kitchen must-haves to outdoor furniture to seasonal decor. Instead of focusing on just one dessert, I wanted to create a setup that felt cozy, layered, timeless, and welcoming. With homemade marshmallows, gourmet s’mores, caramel apples, and a mix of hot and cold drinks, this table was the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Homemade Vanilla Marshmallows

The secret to gourmet s’mores? Start with the marshmallows! Once you make them from scratch, you’ll never go back to store-bought. They’re softer, fluffier, and add that special homemade touch that makes guests say “wow.” 

To make mine, I used:

• All-Clad Small Saucepan to heat the sugar syrup
  
• Candy Thermometer to ensure the mixture is heated up to 240 degrees
  
• KitchenAid Classic Series Stand Mixer to whip the gelatin and sugar syrup for 15 minutes
  
• Le Creuset Heritage Casserole Dish to pour the marshmallow mixture, set (for six hours or overnight), and slice into squares.

The results? Delicious homemade marshmallows that are perfect between graham crackers and chocolate. I also love dipping them in caramel sauce!

Indoor S’mores with My Favorite Kitchen Appliance & Gadget

Traditional s’mores are often made around a campfire, but with Wayfair’s amazing selection of appliances, you can enjoy them indoors anytime!

Air Fryer S’mores

I purchased my LG Smart Induction Slide-In Range with Air Fry in December and have been obsessed ever since! I used it to air fry marshmallows until golden brown in just a few minutes.

All you have to do is layer them between graham crackers and chocolate, and you’ve got gooey s’mores without stepping outside. One tip I will add, if you want really gooey s’mores don’t put a graham cracker on top while airfrying! You will have the most chocolatey and gooey s’mores ever!

Nostalgia S’mores Maker

For parties, the Nostalgia Electric S’mores Maker is a crowd-pleaser. It’s safe to use indoors, easy to clean, and creates that fun “roasting” moment without smoke or mess. There are four compartment trays with plenty of space for chocolate candy bars, marshmallows, and graham crackers. I love this gadget, it’s perfect for toasting a few marshmallows for hot chocolate too.

S’mores Charcuterie Board with Caramel Apples

Once the marshmallows were ready and cut (and the s’mores were made), I styled completed s’mores on a Rustic Acacia Wood Charcuterie Board alongside homemade caramel apples that my mom made. The board felt cozy and inviting, perfect for guests to dig in.

To serve, I paired the delicious s’mores and caramel apples with my Spode horse plates, which added rustic seasonal charm. On the lower shelf of the console table, I included a classic white cake stand topped with caramel apples. It balanced the lanterns, plates, and pumpkins while tying into the white mugs on the table above.

To soften the look, I added a glass vase filled with fresh autumn-colored garden roses and celosia. The flowers brought warmth and color, making the whole display feel even more seasonal.

This s’mores and apple setup became the centerpiece of the table, a delicious nod to fall gatherings.

Fall Dessert & Drink Table

Every party needs a central spot where desserts, decor, and drinks come together. I styled my two-tiered Outdoor Console Table in front of my rose trellis with entertaining essentials to create a fall dessert & drink table:

• Plaid Cotton Throw draped across the table.
  
• Beverage Dispenser and Stand filled with my favorite fall-inspired cinnamon tea served in Fortessa Hobnail Glasses.
  
• Libbey Glass Pitcher of hot chocolate, poured into White Coffee Mugs and topped with homemade vanilla marshmallows.

I finished the setup with stacked plates, napkins, and another small vase of garden roses to echo the floral touch. The combination of cozy throws, glowing lanterns, and seasonal drinks made it feel like a true fall gathering spot.
