It’s no secret shopping for a new dog bed or multiple dog beds can be stressful and time consuming. A few years ago I updated my Weimaraner Fred’s bed and it was the best decision I’d ever made! Back when I had Facebook I was in a group for Weimaraner parents and was shocked that nearly EVERYONE owned cave beds and said their dogs adored them. At that time Fred was jumping on the sofa nonstop so I thought I’d purchase one even though I had strong doubts he would like it. He is the type that wants to be right up against you at all times. I kid you not, ever since that bed was delivered in November of 2018 he, his Yorkie sister, and our cat have all been hooked! Fred loves to burrow himself in the bed. It is so warm and cozy.
I’d wanted to do a review of that cave bed for quite some time but knew if I did a review of that bed I’d have to review my Yorkie’s pink sofa too. That girl is obsessed with it! In fact, when Fred wants attention he tries to sit in it. It’s the cutest thing! With the new year nearly officially upon us, today I wanted to share the best dog beds for 2024!

I bought Fred’s extra large cave bed in olive green in November 2018 and he absolutely adores it. The cover is removable and machine washable. We’ve washed it a few times since Fred is quite the outdoorsman and loves jumping in puddles, and swimming in our pond! It is available in four different sizes: small, medium, large and extra-large. I had no inclination that Fred would even be interested in a bed that he could curl up in, so I was shocked when he fell in love with it instantly. As soon as I got the dog bed out of the box, he knew right away to curl up inside it.
This incredible cave bed is the best dog bed I’ve ever bought in my entire life for my precious pups.
