When I first joined Instagram years ago, a friend told me I had to follow a cute little dog named Tuna (Tuna Melts My Heart). As a dog lover and “dog mom”, I quickly fell in love with his adorable pictures, fun vacations and his little overbite! Is he not the most precious little guy ever? This week I had the chance to interview Tuna and his wonderful mother Courtney Dasher on everything dog related, which is right up my alley!
During the interview Courtney shared how she adopted him from a farmers market in Los Angeles. She mentioned that Tuna didn’t have his “signature smile” when she adopted him at four months old – “he didn’t have have any teeth at all”. Courtney also shared that “it was surprising when a whole set of human-like teeth grew in.”
Be sure to watch the video below to see Courtney and Tuna chat with me about everything from how she rescued him to his Instagram following, what inspired her to create his world famous Instagram account, Tuna’s amazing travels, different ways she celebrates him, how they use their platform to bring awareness for dog rescue whether it’s rescuing a dog with disabilities and/or deformities to senior dogs and more. She also shared tips for new dog parents, and how you can create a pet gift registry with ItsADog.com.
