Many reality fans will remember Doug Reinhardt as Lauren Conrad’s love interest on MTV’s “The Hills” but what most may not realize is what an accomplished and dedicated athlete Reinhardt is. Not only was he drafted by the (Major League Baseball MLB) Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and played in the Baltimore Orioles minor league system; but he and World Class Certified Kettlebell Instructor, Owen Evans recently developed the RKS Kettlebell System. I recently had the chance to ask Doug a few questions about his system. He dished on what makes it different from other kettlebell systems, what every beginner should know before working out, how to get flat abs and more.

How RKS Differs From Other Kettlebell Workouts
Candie Anderson: How is it different than other kettlebell workouts?
Doug Reinhardt: “Unlike traditional bodybuilding exercises that seek to isolate and sculpt one muscle, RKS training involves compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups simultaneously and consequently develop strength and muscular endurance throughout the entire body. RKS exercises burn more calories than any other type of workout burning up to 1200 calories/hr.”
Doug Shares Kettlebell Tips For Beginners
Candie Anderson: Do you have any advice for beginners who’ve never worked out with kettlebells?
Doug Reinhardt: “For beginners, we suggest you start out with a lighter kettlebell while you are learning form and going through the workouts for the first couple times. Once you are comfortable with the technique of each exercise; you can upgrade your kettlebell weight for an additional challenge.”

How To Get Flat Abs Using Kettlebells
Candie Anderson: What’s the best way to obtain flat abs using kettlebells?
Doug Reinhardt: “Kettlebell exercises use the abdominals to stabilize the core throughout all movements. Using kettlebell movements and the other exercises in RKS, you will be training your abs during the entire workout. Plus, eliminating body fat will help to flatten abs and RKS’ combination of intervals and circuits will turn your body into a fat-burning furnace.”
Doug Reinhardt Talks Proper Nutrition
Candie Anderson: How much of a role does proper nutrition play in addition to working out?
Doug Reinhardt: “Nutrition along with working out is the key to attaining any fat loss. Combining the RKS program and the RKS nutrition guide you are guaranteed to achieve the body you have always wanted.”

There are two authentic sources for kettlebell expertise. Reinhardt is definitely not one, not even even close. For REAL kettlebell expertise, go to an RKC or AKC certified trainer, or get books and videos on the subject from Dragon Door.

The system is taught by an RKC certified trainer. Try doing some research or reading the actual articular.
