When it comes to delicious food, there’s one thing those of us in California adore, and that’s tri-tip! I was always under the impression that it’s big everywhere, but after listening to the Grill Dads on the Today show, I learned that isn’t the case. This morning the Grill Dads aka Ryan Fey and Mark Anderson stopped by the Today show to cook up some delicious food. They made try-tip sandwiches and pizza! These dishes are both perfect for dinner tonight, but will be a must come Super Bowl Sunday! Be sure to scroll down to watch the instructional video from this morning’s episode. Tri-Tip Sandwiches

To make the tri-tip sandwiches, Ryan Fey and Mark Anderson aka The Grill Dads mentioned that you will need these ingredients:

  • Tri-Tip
  • French Bread
  • Swiss Cheese
  • Caramelized Onions
  • Watercress
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour Cream
  • Buttermilk
  • Horseradish
  • Lemon Coffee
  • Light Brown Sugar
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Chipotle Pepper
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt and Pepper

Three Meat Detroit Style Deep Dish Pizza

The next dish that the Grill Dads, Ryan Fey and Mark Anderson made a three meat Detroit style deep dish pizza on the grill. To make this delicious pizza, Mark mentioned that you will need these ingredients:

  • Pizza Dough
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Wisconsin Brick Cheddar Cheese
  • Pecorino Romano Cheese
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Italian Sausage
  • Soppressata
  • Bacon
  • Olive Oil

PS: Mark Anderson mentioned that you need a Detroit blue steel pan to make this dish. I was able to find one! It’s already been pre-seasoned. It has great five star reviews too!
