My four dogs and two cats mean everything to me! They each have their own unique personalities and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. Like most dogs on the planet, mine love treats more than anything. My Yellow Lab Lucy doesn’t like toys, while my Weimaraner Fred, Yorkie Francesca and rescue pup Calvin love them. I have two cats that we rescued as kittens on our property as well, they love to do their own thing as most cats do! I was recently asked to have my “kids” review the Truly Pawsome monthly subscription box of 4-5 hand-selected natural, eco-friendly and quality doggie treats (and one for cats too!) and toys, and of course jumped at the chance. I’ve always wanted to try a monthly pet subscription service, but since my dogs are on special diets with high quality ingredients, I never found one that I found suitable for them until I heard about this one. I also love the fact that they offer free shipping and have partnered with one canine rescue center, Rocket Dog Rescue, which receives 10% of all proceeds. Every month I donate money to a local rescue in my area, so this is very important to me!

My dogs loved the dog treats which was no surprise to me. They love absolutely EVERYTHING! There was one bag of treats I forgot to open last week (the Dr. Becker’s Berry Bites) well, that was until I noticed my extremely finicky cat Grayson pawing at the bag. He NEVER paws at anything. I laughed and wondered why of all things he would want dog treats? I looked at the bag and noticed that they’re suitable for dogs and cats. He got so excited when I opened the bag, gave him a fairly large piece and he started eating it. He absolutely LOVES them. I’ve always bought jerky treats from a well known warehouse store for my dogs, but I’ve decided that I’m now going to buy these Dr. Becker Berry Bites treats for my dogs and cats. Yes, they’re more expensive, but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion especially since they’re a much healthier option and they love them! They’re made of acai berry, pomegranate, beef liver, bilberry, blueberry and retail for $16.95.

My dogs also loved the Lazy Dog Cookie Co. Inc elicksors Superfood Treats that are in the Truly Pawsome monthly subscription box. They were sent the “oranges treats” bag which contains yam, pumpkin and carrot; and the reds bag which has cherry, cranberry, pomegranate. It’s safe to say both bags are nearly empty. The treats are made with healthy wholesome ingredients. For example the “orange treats” are made of rye flour, rice flour, yam, pumpkin, oats, rice bran, flax, honey, carrots and cinnamon, while the red treats are made of rye flour, rice flour, applesauce, oats, rice bran, flax, honey, cherry, cranberry, pomegranate and cinnamon. Fred, Lucy, Calvin and Francesca eat better than I do! The treats are 100% natural, and are wheat, corn, soy free. They retail for $6.00 and are definitely a must as well.
One item I haven’t tried yet, but definitely will once the temps go down next week (it’s been over 100 lately) is the Zippy Paws Adventure Treat Bag. This portable treat bag will definitely come in handy when I take my “kids” for their walks or when we hang out by the pond in our backyard on cozy Sunday afternoons. It retails for $6.99.
The retro inspired Sock Monkey by Lulubelles with a squeaker (that came in the Truly Pawsome Monthly Subscription box) is adorable. Fred loves any toy with a squeaker, especially this fun one. I have to hide it occasionally so Francesca and Calvin can play with it too. 😉 The sock monkey dog toy retails for $12.99.

I think I can speak for my fur-kids when I say they really love the Truly Pawsome Monthly Subscription box. The next box ships out on Wednesday, June 15th (with free shipping). You can try it out for one month, three months, six months or 12 months and even gift one to a loved one. This would be a great gift for your dad for Father’s Day, and as someone who has a birthday in a little over a week, I’ll take one too. 😉 Prices vary, and according to the website “the longer the plan, the more you save.” For example a box for a small dog for a month is $40, for three months it’s $34 (a month), for six months it’s $32 (a month), and for a year it’s $30 (a month). Be sure to visit TrulyPawsome.com for more information or to order a box for your precious pups!
Disclaimer: I was not compensated for my pets review! I was sent the Truly Pawsome Monthly Subscription box for my dogs and cats to review. As always opinions are my own or in this case the opinions belong to Fred, Lucy, Francesca, Calvin, Grayson and Lily Anderson. 🙂
