Summer is officially here, and families across the country will soon be heading on the open road for a road trip to a National Park, to see grandma and grandpa or to an amusement park. If you’re anything like me, you absolutely loved family road trips when you were a kid! Some of my greatest childhood memories are of our annual family road trip to Lake Tahoe in mid-July.
One thing is definitely for sure, you want to make sure your car is in tip-top shape before you leave the house. There’s nothing worse than having your car overheat on the way or to end up with a flat tire. Lauren Fix, The Car Coach joined me for an interview yesterday to share tips on how to make your car, van, or camper road-ready for the summer. She dished on how we can get our vehicles ready for extended driving vacations, how we can get our tires ready for that long road trip (and what you should look for in case you have to buy new tires), the secret to getting better fuel mileage and better engine performance, and why road trips are so popular again.
