How Stress Can Cause Weight Gain In Your Lower Belly

Did you know that stress can cause you to gain weight in your lower belly? According to Jenna, “When your body is extremely stressed out, your body releases a chemical called cortisol, and that’s your fight or flight hormone, so it’s going to give you a burst of energy and normally the stress goes away and the hormone is released. When it isn’t, fat collects there.”

How Your Diet Contributes To Lower Belly Fat

Jenna Wolfe mentioned that diet is a great place to start when it comes to losing that stubborn lower belly fat, and that you “want a diet that’s rich in omega-3s because that’s going to release some of that cortisol”. Some of the foods you’ll want to add to your diet are: walnuts, chia seeds, quinoa, flaxseeds and salmon. Vitamin C is also very important, think peppers, strawberries. PS: Cinnamon will also get rid of some of the bloating.
