If you follow me on Instagram or on Etsy, you know that my mom and I raise beautiful English roses that are often used in weddings all across Northern California! Through Pinterest, Instagram and in working with florists, I’ve learned that one of the top floral/wedding trends that is here to stay is the floral crown. Floral crowns are a must for the chic bride on her wedding day, the adorable flower girl, or the boho gal heading to a summer music festival.
If you love this trend as well and you’ve always wanted to learn how to make a floral crown with silk flowers, you’re in luck! Kate Pankoke of Elaya Vaughn Bridal (who also happens to be a former “Project Runway” star) created a great DIY Floral Crown video for the Today show and we’re excited to share it with you!
To make the gorgeous DIY floral crown, Kate Pankoke mentioned you’ll need silk flowers, foliage, wrapped wire, regular wire, wire cutters, scissors, glue sticks and a glue gun. In the video tutorial below, Kate and her friend (who also happens to be a bride-to-be) show you how to assemble the DIY floral crown, which believe it or not is easier to create than you might think!
