Are you searching for a DIY homemade gift for mom this Mother’s Day? If so, you’ll adore the air fresheners that Daphne Oz made on “The Chew” on Monday May 4, 2015 using essential oils that she made on the show. Since she’s not applying oils to her skin or using them for health purposes, she decided to go the DIY route using a slow cooker or a glass jar, vegetable oil, a lemon, and fresh peppermint. Once Daphne Oz, chef Mario Batali and chef Michael Symon infused their DIY essential oils, they then strained the oils using a cheesecloth, added some baking soda to a small glass Mason jar, and added eight or 10 drops of the DIY essential oils. Doesn’t that sound amazing?
Well, once you’ve made your air fresheners for mom, you have to decorate it too! Clinton Kelly, Daphne and chef Carla Hall show us how with craft paper, scissors, a sewing needle, cute twine and anything else you’d like to use to make this pretty air freshener perfect for mom this Mother’s Day (May 10th)!
