Garth Brooks has always been one of my favorite performers! I love his music, I actually stood in line for hours on my birthday when I was a kid in the hopes of seeing him in concert. Unfortunately they sold out of tickets, but I’m still holding out hope that I’ll one day get to hear him sing “Friends In Low Places” and “Callin’ Baton Rouge” live.
This morning we were treated to Garth Brooks on the “Today” show. He hung out with Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly and treated us to two songs! Garth Brooks retired in 2001 at the age of 38 to move to Oklahoma and help ex-wife Sandy Brooks raise their three daughters. His youngest is now in college, and believe it or not, he is now a grandpa! He joined Savannah Guthrie to dish on his new album “Man Against Machine”, which is his first album in 13 years. The “Man Against Machine” hit number one six weeks ago, and he’s on tour with his wife Trisha Yearwood. Garth told Savannah that “the greatest gig on the planet is being a dad!”
