We all love a great holiday party, but throwing an entertaining soiree your guests will remember for years to come can be stressful and overwhelming. This morning lifestyle expert, Justine Santaniello was kind enough to join me for an interview to dish on timesaving holiday entertaining must haves we all need to ensure our holiday party is memorable and of course FUN!
Candace Rose: What’s the secret to planning the perfect holiday party drink?
Justine Santaniello: “When it comes to the drinks, you want to keep it easy for you, right? I recommend setting up a DIY beverage bar. Guests help themselves, one less thing for you to worry about, but you want to make sure that you set everything up. The cups, the straws, the garnishes…and my favorite part is the new SodaStream Play. It’s a home carbonation system, really quick and easy, eliminates all the fuss of cans and bottles, and you know that you are keeping your guests hydrated the healthy way. It’s really water made exciting.”
Candace Rose: What’s fun for a holiday treat?
Justine Santaniello: “For holiday treats when it comes to dessert, again you want it to be easy for you as the host, but still really delicious for all of the guests, so ice cream is the way to go. Here we have from Edy’s and Dreyer’s (please see video above for details) their limited edition holiday flavors. We have Peppermint Wonderland and A Very Merry Eggnog. What’s really cool is if you go to their Pinterest page they have a lot of fun recipes up there for you. We have a Peppermint Bark ice cream treat. It’s so yummy and definitely going to be a crowd pleaser.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any suggestions when it comes to holiday music?
Justine Santaniello: “Yes! Holiday music is key for setting the tone for your party, the ambiance. You want to play your favorite holiday music as the host. If you are going to play music, I want you to check this out, this is the Heos by Denen wireless multi-room speakers. This allows you to stream music from all of your iOS and Android devices, also your favorite cloud music sources like Pandora and Spotify through the Heos app. The wireless streaming has amazing sound quality, hooks up to any existing home wifi and best part for a party is that it can play music in multiple rooms – same song or different song which I love.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?
Justine Santaniello: “Here’s the thing, Candace, sometimes it’s so busy during the holidays that we just want to make it easy, we want to go out to dinner. Now it’s easier than ever! Outback Steakhouse has just introduced Click Thru seating on Outback.com. This allows you to see current wait times at your local restaurant. It also allows you to put your name on the wait list for now or for later before you arrive, this way when you get there you get seated faster.”
Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?
Justine Santaniello: “You can go to InTheNews.tv.”
