One of my favorite summertime activities is quick pickling cucumbers (aka refrigerator pickling). I usually head to the farmers market and get pickling cucumbers, but this year we decided to grow our own! With all the cucumbers in the garden at the moment, I can’t wait to quick pickle some cukes this weekend. But one thing I’ve never thought of quick pickling are cherries! I’ve never tried them, but they sound delicious. On the June 4th, 2014 episode of “The Chew”, chef Michael Symon his secrets on how to quick pickle cherries! Believe it or not they’ll be delicious and ready for your favorite sandwich in just a few days if you follow his directions. This definitely satisfies the impatient girl in me. 🙂
