Like many of you, I grew up watching rock singer Chris Daughtry on the hit reality TV show American Idol! To say I was honored to interview Chris Daughtry about Daughtry’s amazing new album “Break the Spell” is understatement. He joined me this week to dish on their new album, and to discuss how he and his family are celebrating the holidays. Chris also shared that he and his rock band Daughtry have an exclusive free Facebook concert on Wednesday, December 14 in conjunction with Duracell. Chris Daughtry On Spending The Holidays With Family!

Candace Rose Anderson: How are you and your family gearing up for the holidays?

Chris Daughtry: “Well, my wife is doing most of the shopping, I’m traveling so much so I come in last minute and start wrapping stuff. That’s how I contribute.”

Candace Rose Anderson: There you go, that’s the way to be!

Chris Daughtry: “Yeah.”

Chris Talks About Recent Tour

Candace Rose Anderson: And you just got back from being on tour?

Chris Daughtry: “Yeah, we went overseas, literally around the world. We went to the Middle East, Europe, Asia playing for the troops for the Air Force. It was a pretty crazy experience.”

Chris Daughtry On New Album “Break The Spell”

Candace Rose Anderson: Can you tell us about your new album “Break The Spell?”

Chris Daughtry: “Yes, it’s out; it’s high energy. We’re super proud of it. We can’t wait to get out and start touring and get out there and play these new songs for everybody.”

Daughtry’s Exclusive Facebook Concert

Candace Rose ANderson: And how about your exclusive Facebook concert?

Chris Daughtry: “Wednesday, December 14th, Facebook.com/Duracell. Check it out we’re going to be doing a free concert for everyone to log on wherever you Facebook, whether that be your living room or your bedroom or your bathroom, we’ll be right there with you! It’s December 14th 3pm east coast time, so I guess that’s noon your time.”

Candace Rose Anderson: Yeah, so as long as you’re a Facebook fan of Duracell you’re good to go on the 14th?

Chris Daughtry: “Yeah, good to go. Sign in, all the details are right there. It’s got a lot of stuff going on for the holidays for parents gearing up for the Christmas season. Also, they’re donating 30,000 batteries to families in need for the holiday season, so it’s a win-win for everybody.”

What’s Next For Daughtry

Candace Rose Anderson: Absolutely; that’s great to hear. Can you tell us what’s next on your list?

Chris Daughtry: “Well, we’re going to go home for the holidays, spend time with the family and we’ll start gearing up for a tour hopefully in March, and we’re going to hopefully be in a town near you. And check out DaughtryOfficial.com for any upcoming dates. We’re gonna hopefully get out there and play these new songs for everybody starting in the spring.”

    Daughtry tickets

    I don’t know how many more Daughtry concerts my parents will let me go to. (uh oh) So I might wait till they’re headlining when tickets are cheaper and I have a better chance of meeting them.
