Heading out to any holiday parties this season, or just interested in the latest and greatest beauty and hair trends for winter 2013? If so, you’re in luck! Beauty expert, Rebekah George joined me for an interview today to dish on the top trends this season and all at drugstore prices!
Candace Rose: What are some of the top trends to watch out for this winter?
Rebekah George: “Well, one thing we’re noticing are really rich vibrant hair colors and you can get that with this product from Revlon, it’s their Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream hair color. It contains a triple butter complex made of mango, shea and coconut to keep your hair soft and shiny and to prevent any potential damage from color in your hair. It comes in 13 vibrant shades, so there’s really something for everyone. It’s the first permanent ammonia-free cream color and is only six dollars.”
Candace Rose: What are some of the must haves to keep our skin and face looking healthy?
Rebekah George: “Well, one of the products that’s all the rage this year is a face oil. This is from Palmer’s, it’s the cocoa butter formula skin therapy oil face. It’s $9.99. It contains really high-tech ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and 10 pure oils. It helps deal with the fine lines, the brown spots to give you that nice glow. You can use it in the morning and also use it at night- just a drop or two massaged onto your face and you will see amazing results.
Another product that’s going to give you amazing results is this tool- this is the True Glow by Conair Sonic Skincare cleansing brush. It’s $99, and you are going to get some amazing results. It is clinically proven to be two times more effective than using your cleanser alone. It’s dermatologist tested, it has three different speeds, 60 second timer, two different brush heads (one for face, one for body). Also, it’s waterproof, so you can use it in the shower…but it’s going to help you get more hydrated, more moisturized skin.
We’ve gotta talk makeup, right? One product you want to keep you soft and smooth is from Almay. It’s their Color and Care liquid lip balm. It contains the conditioning powers of a balm combined with the color and shine of a gloss. As soon as you use it lip moisturization actually doubles throughout the day and triples. It comes in 10 really punchy shades like Lilac Love and Apple A Day. It’s a bargain- only six bucks.
This is another bargain from Eco Tools, it’s their Naturally Beautiful Lash System…fake lashes, five different styles so if you want to wear fake lashes just to go out with your girlfriends for lunch or a more glammed up version for night, they’ve got everything you need. The lashes are super soft, they’re eco-friendly. The glue is latex and formaldehyde free so it won’t irritate your eyes. It’s also hypoallergenic. They’re so easy to use, and another bargain- six bucks!”
Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share?
