It’s no secret that legendary singer Patti LaBelle is a fabulous cook and baker! I featured her Thanksgiving stuffing segment a few years ago, and it’s always trending during the holidays. Let’s not forget about her peach cobbler, it’s an absolute must as well! This morning Ms. Patti LaBelle joined Matt Lauer and Bettye Smith, Today’s “Thanks a Million Mom” in the Today show kitchen to show them (and all of us at home!) how to make a delicious red velvet marble cake in honor of Mother’s Day. Today is my mom’s birthday (happy birthday mom!) and I can’t wait to make it for her this weekend. PS: This recipe is from Patti’s new cookbook called “Desserts LaBelle.”

To make the fabulous red velvet marble cake, Patti LaBelle mentioned that we will need a stand mixer, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, shortening, flour, baking powder, unsweetened cocoa, red food coloring, buttermilk, and a few other ingredients.
