The 2016 NFL season kicked off last night with the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos taking on the Carolina Panthers in a rematch of Super Bowl 50. Week one will continue this weekend with the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals squaring off on Sunday Night Football. There’s one thing football look forward to almost as much as watching their favorite teams play on Sunday, and that’s tailgate food! This morning on the Today show (Today’s Take), chef Matt Jennings (a Patriots fan and executive chef/owner Townsman Boston) and chef Ryan Clark (a Cardinals fan and executive chef at Casino Del Sol Resort and Spa) threw a tailgate party with Tamron Hall and Billy Bush. To make the delicious grilled chicken wings with lime, cilantro and maple, chef Matt Jennings mentioned you will need water, agave, chicken, kosher salt, bay leaves, black peppercorn, star anise juniper berries, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, fresh thyme, grape seed oil, lime zest, lime juice, cilantro, amber maple syrup, and chicken wings.
