Our favorite craft guru on the planet, the one and only Martha Stewart stopped by the Today show this morning to show Matt Lauer and all of us at home how to DIY some great 4th of July party decor items (straight from the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine) that you’ll love for your Independence Day celebration.

Martha Stewart DIY 4th of July Party Decor Projects Summary
The first item that Martha Stewart and Matt Lauer made were red, white and blue canvas stools. She used some inexpensive stools and painted them with Martha Stewart pouncers, stencils (in various shapes) and washable craft paint.
Martha Stewart and Matt Lauer also made festive wavy red, white and blue drink stirrers with ribbon and a few other materials! They turned out so pretty and are the perfect addition to your patriotic 4th of July celebration.
As a flower farmer, I absolutely LOVE the idea of creating a red, white and blue floral arrangement. Since it’s so hot here in Northern California, this would be something I’d keep inside, but hopefully it’s cooler where you live! Be sure to watch the video below to see the different flowers that Martha used in her arrangement. She also added a few of the festive drink stirrers she made to the floral arrangement which added a great touch!
Lastly Martha Stewart dished on the non-alcoholic drinks she made out of grapefruit, hibiscus, cucumbers and more! PS: I found the hibiscus-ginger spritz, spicy grapefruit spritz, and pineapple cucumber spritz recipes on the Martha Stewart website.
