My favorite registered dietitian Joy Bauer stopped by the fourth of the Today show this morning to dish on her new book/cookbook “From Junk Food To Joy Food” which has over 115 amazing recipes, and to give Ms. Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager the scoop on how to make delicious healthy chocolate crunch bars and chocolate chip pancakes!
PS: Are you interested in registered dietitian Joy Bauer’s amazing new cookbook “From Junk Food To Joy Food“? Please feel free to check out this free kindle book preview below.
To make the fabulous healthy chocolate chip pancakes, Joy Bauer stated that you’ll need these ingredients: whole-grain flour, flour, cocoa powder, flaxseed, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, skim milk (or almond milk), canola oil, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, whipped topping, dark semisweet chocolate chips. Joy mentioned that if you order typical pancakes at a diner, they could be well over 900 calories…but believe it or not, these are only 275 calories!
I don’t know about you, but chocolate crunch bars (over 240 calories) are my absolute weakness! This morning on the Today show, Joy Bauer dished on how to make a chocolate bar with only two ingredients: semisweet dark chocolate chips and gluten free puffed rice! How easy is that, and they only have 148 calories? PS: Don’t forget the baking dish and parchment paper.
Be sure to head over to the Today show website for the recipes: low calorie healthy chocolate chip pancakes and low calorie chocolate crunch bars on the Friday, February 26, 2016 episode of the Today show!
