Candace Rose: If we waited until the last minute to do our holiday shopping can we still find great gifts that don’t seem last minute?

Trae Bodge: “Absolutely. First of all, don’t forget to take advantage of extended store hours, so you can pop in the stores before or after work. They won’t be as crowded as it will be on the weekend and of course now we have online shopping which is so convenient. If you place your orders prior to December 18th rest assured that you will get your packages on time for the Christmas holiday.

Speaking of shopping online, I love Amazon for their depth and breadth of products and also their quick shipping times. I’ve just discovered this really cool thing that I think makes a great stocking stuffer, which is the Amazon Dash button. Dash gives your recipient access to hundreds of products from 29 brands like Tide, Glad, L’Oreal. What’s amazing about it is it’s only $4.99. When they place their first order you get that back in credit, so it’s essentially free.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any tech gift ideas you can share with us?

Trae Bodge: “Definitely. I love tech products and I found two that I’m really excited about. The first one is the Motorola DROID Turbo 2. This is great for the person on your list who needs a smartphone. This is the world’s first device to feature the Moto Shattershield feature, which means guaranteed no cracking or shattering of your screen. It has a 48 hour battery life and when you do get low in battery, if you have 15 minutes you can give yourself 13 hours of battery time. It also has a 21 megapixel camera with rapid focus, zero shutter lag, and HD video. It’s available exclusively at Verizon stores or, which is also offering free overnight shipping so even if you wait until the very last minute, you’ll be in excellent shape there.

My second tech item is the Canary all-in-one smart home security device. What I love about it is that it sets up really quickly, it pairs with your smartphone and it monitors movement in the room and also temperature, humidity, air control and it’s super affordable at $200. What is so amazing about it is when you leave the home it auto arms and will send you alerts if there’s movement in the home. You can watch video from your smartphone and see if it’s just your kids and pets moving around of if there’s something more serious happening and you need to set off the siren or call the authorities.”

Candace Rose: How about stocking stuffers?

Trae Bodge: “Stocking stuffers, I love batteries because we’re giving all of those toys and so many of us forget to get batteries to go with those toys. These are from Rayovac, and Rayovac is great because they deliver high quality and power at an affordable price point. They have a couple different options, they have their high energy which goes with your regular toys and then they have their Fusion which is great for those high drain devices. Batteries from Rayovac make a great stocking stuffer or also a companion item with a battery operated toy.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?

Trae Bodge: “There’s lots of information on my website There’s information on all these products and then loads of gift ideas as well.”
