When it comes to Thanksgiving side dishes, I can’t get enough potatoes. I’ve always been hooked on mashed potatoes, but last year I fell in love with sweet potatoes and life has never been the same! If you love potatoes as much as I do, or you’re still searching for a few great Turkey Day potato recipes, you’re in luck. “Iron Chef” competitor Geoffrey Zakarian (he’s also a partner at The National in Greenwich, Connecticut) joined Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb to make delicious scalloped potatoes and roast sweet potatoes with feta, almonds and pomegranate this morning on the Tuesday, November 17, 2015 episode of the Today show. To make the scalloped potatoes or scalloped potato au gratin, Mr. Geoffrey Zakarian mentioned that you’ll need Yukon gold potatoes, onion, butter, half and half, garlic, thyme, nutmeg, gruyere cheese, breadcrumbs, parmigiano reggiano cheese, salt, pepper.
