Growing up in a Mexican household, I’ve always loved salsa and have been accustomed to eating traditional salsa with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and cilantro on the daily. A few summers ago I broke out of my “salsa comfort zone” and tried my neighbor’s mango salsa and apricot salsa that were both out of this world. It’s easy to say I have been hooked on fruit salsas ever since! With that being said I’m eager to try the strawberry mango salsa that one of my favorite interviewees, chef Carla Hall made on “The Chew” earlier today with her trusty Vitamix, which also happens to be my favorite kitchen gadget that I own.
If you’d like to learn how to make the delicious strawberry mango salsa that chef Carla Hall made on “The Chew” on Wednesday, July 1st, please watch the video below and follow the link to “The Chew” website for the delicious recipe!
Video: Chef Carla Hall adds two cups of strawberries, two cups of mango chunks, and a cup and a half of fresh pineapple to her Vitamix. She then pulsed it, and put it in a bowl. Carla added orange juice, lime juice, a “touch of honey for sweetness”. You can put chef Carla Hall’s strawberry mango salsa to any dish you’d like! She poured it over the top of sorbet, but I think it’d be great with chicken tacos! YUM!!!
