Brit Morin of Brit+Co is one of my favorite DIY gurus! I have had the honor of interviewing her, and this morning she was on the Today show sharing some of her favorite 4th of July party DIYs! If you love Pinterest as much as I do, you’ve seen the Easter egg DIY project with balloons and yarn, well, believe it or not, but Brit made fun outdoor lighting for the 4th of July with red, white and blue yarn, Mod Podge and balloons.
If you’re looking for a great 4th of July inspired tablescape, you’ll love the fun firework designs she made with red, white and blue plastic forks and paint! Brit Morin told Willie Geist, Natalie Morales and Ellie Kemper that this is a do it yourself project even the kids can do. PS: If you have a baby, Brit shared a fun 4th of July DIY for you, too!
A fun and festive 4th of July party has to have delicious food, especially dessert. Brit Morin dished on how to make red, white and blue firework cakes with layer cakes, frosting, licorice and cookie cutters. This dessert is definitely Pinterest worthy.
Last but definitely not least, you can’t forget about s’mores on a stick with a graham cracker crust, or red, white, and blue layered homemade popsicles watermelon juice, coconut juice and blueberry. Be sure to watch the inspiring video below to see Brit Morin’s fabulous 4th of July DIY projects for your Independence Day backyard bash this weekend.
