There’s nothing quite like a fun backyard barbecue with delicious summer staples, great family and friends! Unfortunately there’s one thing that can ruin the backyard bash you planned so long for and those are bugs, especially for those of us who live in the country/rural areas! It never fails, they come out in droves during the warm summer and fall months, and don’t want to leave especially when you have delicious food on your plate. What are you to do? Lifestyle expert, Marc Silverstein was kind enough to join me for an interview to dish not only on some of his favorite grilling tips and delicious food, but a new eco-friendly to keep bugs from crashing your party.
Candace Rose: What’s the secret to planning the perfect backyard bash this summer?
Marc Silverstein: “We’ve all been looking forward to that big summer barbecue we’re getting ready to put on. We’re going to have great family and friends and food and drinks, but you don’t want bugs crashing the party, and that’s why I have the Dynatrap. This is the perfect solution to trapping those annoying bugs, flies, mosquitoes, moths – all without pesticides. It’s environmentally friendly and affordable. It’s chemical and pollution-free, so you can say goodbye to the sticky, smelly repellents. There’s no harm to the kids, to the pets, to the garden. It provides just great time outdoors with relief from bugs. It’s easy to setup, there’s really no installation (please see video above for details). You just plug it in and you’re good to go. It’s odorless, it’s noiseless, and not only can you use it outdoors, you can use it indoors, as well.
That will prepare the backyard for everybody coming over for the big barbecue.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any tips to score the best backyard barbecue?
Marc Silverstein: “I’m glad that you asked, and now that we’ve gotten that all taken care of we’re going to instantly take your barbecue from bland to bold with Ball Park Park’s Finest frankfurters. This is a premium line of hot dogs made with 100% beef. It comes in five mouthwatering varieties including two new bold flavors – jalapeno cheddar, and slow cooked chili. These are packed with big bold flavors and in fact with seasonings that you can actually see.
From now until Labor Day, you can get your grilling questions answered by calling/texting/tweeting the finest franks hotline, it’s 1-844-4-Franks. They will give you extra tips so that you can create brag-worthy grill outs.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?
Marc Silverstein: “If you’re out there grilling, the first thing you’ve got to do is get a little vegetable oil and grease that grill so nothing gets stuck, and then when you’re grilling the hot dogs, put them on the second level so you don’t risk burning them – nice low and slow, five to seven minutes. When you turn them, don’t use a fork because that will get out all those delicious juices – use tongs. Then, have the condiments ready to go. If you’re going to use the condiments, put them on the hot dog. Dress the hot dog, don’t dress the bun.
