Candace Rose: With graduation season and Father’s Day nearly upon us, a two-in-one would make a great gift. Do you have any recommendations for us?

Mario Armstrong: “Yes, I’m going to start first with a great two-in-one, and that’s the Microsoft Surface 3. This is really new! It’s the thinnest and lightest Surface tablet out on the market (in terms of the Surface) which is great. What’s really awesome about it too, is not only is it a fully function tablet with access to Windows, but if you buy the additional keyboard, then you really can use it like a full functioning laptop which is great. It gives you the best of both worlds, balance and performance and values. It’s really powerful and efficient, plus I like how lightweight this is in my backpack. I don’t feel it when I’m carrying it around. When you compare this to the Surface Pro 3, this is lighter, thinner and more affordable starting at $499.”

Candace Rose: What’s handy and affordable for streaming video and playing games?

Mario Armstrong: “That’s an easy answer, it’s the Amazon Fire TV Stick. It’s only $39, and for those that don’t know, this stick will give you access to all types of great entertainment on demand. Basically you plug in the Fire TV Stick right into the side of the HDMI slot in the side of your TV, then you get access to all types of movies, TV shows and programming from all the sources that you may have a subscription with like Netflix, HBO Go, and Amazon; plus you can play games and music on it as well. Kids are going to love it too.

I think people are going to love this if they’re going to a new dorm, if they’re getting a new apartment, the guys are going to love this, dads are going to love this for more entertainment options in the home or when they travel (like I do) from hotel room to hotel room.”

Candace Rose: Is there something new in smart phones?

Mario Armstrong: “It’s always evolving, and so the smart phone always try to go up another notch, and LG has done exactly that with the G4 smartphone that’s coming soon. This is a brilliant Quantum display 5.5 inch quad HD IPS screen – it looks amazing! It has a 16-megapixel camera. Pictures on here look incredibly amazing, and it’s on par with a professional DSLR. It comes in genuine leather, ceramic white, metallic grey, and gold as well. It’s coming soon to Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Best Buy.”

Candace Rose: Any there new cool accessories for mobile devices?

Mario Armstrong: “I talk a lot about photos and videos on mobile devices, and they take up a lot of space on our mobile devices. I want you to start thinking about backing that stuff up by using the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive. This is great because it will add up to 64 gigabytes of storage and you can do all this wirelessly, plus it’s expandable. You can add more storage to that if you wanted to. All you do is plug this into your computer and then the software walks you through how you can move all your pictures and videos off of your mobile devices onto this storage device. Once you do that, not only are you backing it up in case you lose your phone or it gets damaged, you also make room for new videos and new memories.”

Candace Rose: What do you have that’s new and classic in timepieces?

Mario Armstrong: “Timepieces are becoming more high tech now. Casio has something that’s really nice, and the thing with timepieces is they still need to be stylish and look like a great watch…and Casio wins on that for sure. This is the Edifice line and it’s the EQB510-D (please see video above for detail). It’s very stylish and as you can see, it has connectivity via smartphone with Bluetooth. It has something called Tough Solar Power, that means you won’t have to constantly change the battery. It also has a companion app that goes along with it that gives you other customized features and cool things you can do. One of my favorites is that you can actually use your watch to find your phone. It actually has a phone finder on it, which is pretty neat.”

Candace Rose: What’s the latest in speakers?

Mario Armstrong: “Speakers are always changing, Candace. They’re always doing something new, so the one I have with me today is from iHome. They do a lot of speakers, so check out their website! I love the iBT12 SoundFlask. It looks just like a flask, but it’s actually a speaker. It’s got this really cool design, ultra thin, lightweight, but packs dual coil speaker and amp on the inside which really gives you amazing sound for such a device. We’ve been playing it in the studio and having a lot of fun with it. It’s only $49, and it comes with a custom case and cable storage pouch. It’s a really great hit for dads and grads!”

Candace Rose: Thank you as always, Mario! Where can we go for more information?

Mario Armstrong: “Just head over to our website:”
