Candace Rose: Do you have any tips for parents looking for ways to keep their family cool this summer?

Raina Seitel: “Yes, I sure do. We all need to stay cool in the summer months, and first up I have a product that will do just that! It’s the original brand Popsicle, I grew up eating and loving these. My son loves them too. The company was founded in 1905, so you want to look for that iconic yellow box – there are over 20 different flavors including the classic orange, cherry and grape. They also have some specialty flavors and varieties including the Avengers, which my son loves. Also, Frozen, so taking that movie theater experience and really bringing it to your freezer at home. My personal favorite is the Mystery Middles. It has a cherry shell on the outside and a mystery center, so you take a bite and you’re not quite sure what flavor you’re going to get. It’s the same kind of idea with the Tootsie Pop – the hard outside, the hard shell and then you have the chocolate deliciousness in the center there.”

Candace Rose: How about an easy way to shop?

Raina Seitel: “During the summer months we’re always out and about, we’re not necessarily at home, so Visa Checkout has made it so easy to shop using your smartphone – quick, easy for moms and everybody out there. They’ve partnered with top quality vendors around the country including Williams-Sonoma. I purchased these two items (please see video above for details) because I love to entertain during the summer months, so this is really great. You just go, you press a button and you shopping is done.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any advice how busy parents on the go can keep their kids safe in the sun?

Raina Seitel: “I think protecting our skin in the summer sun, especially during the summer months is key, especially in the summer months. Lather up on that sunscreen, but taking it a step further, a great company Snikwah, an original and hydro long sleeve shirt. The material comes with a built-in UPF 50+ rating, which means 98% of the suns rays will be blocked and your skin will be safe and protected. It also has this patented convertible neck so you can cover your ears, your head, your mouth – anything. I love this – it has a little ponytail insert, so for people wearing ponytails, it’s great. The material is also a Dri-Release so that means on the colder days it keeps you warm and vice versa. They’ve really thought of everything! It’s great for everything – biking, yoga, boating, hiking, swimming, surfing, anything goes and your skin is protected.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?

Raina Seitel: “Sure, I think when we think about the summer, we think carefree, relaxed…but in my opinion it’s great to really try and stay on schedule. Your children’s bedtime, keep that bedtime for the whole summer if you can. Obviously there are exceptions, but at the end of the summer you don’t want to have to undo some bad habits that we’ve fallen into, so try and keep the same routine.”

Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?
