With backyard barbecues and Cinco de Mayo parties on the horizon, lifestyle expert Limor Suss joined me this morning for an interview to share the secret to throwing the perfect party with delicious food, amazing drink recipes and more. She also dished on the one must have you need to ensure your guests won’t want to leave and will have your party going on into the night!
Candace Rose: What’s hot this season when it comes to entertaining?
Limor Suss: “You want to make sure that you’re always serving fresh ingredients when you’re entertaining, so here I have the Sabra salsa. It’s made with handpicked vine ripened Roma tomatoes. They have pieces of fresh vegetables inside so it’s really perfect for dipping. It’s perfect if you’re throwing a Cinco de Mayo party. The simple ingredients have such a fresh taste and I love the red vibrant tomatoes, they taste amazing and the salsa is going to go super quickly at your party so you’re going to want to stock up on them.”
Candace Rose: What else can we do to add some flavor to our get-together?
Limor Suss: “A party isn’t a party without some cocktails, and so here I have two cocktails made with Pinnacle vodka. What’s nice about Pinnacle is it’s a premium quality vodka, but it’s at a price that won’t break the bank and they have more than 40 different flavors. It’s really easy to add one or two mixtures and create a huge variety of delicious cocktails.
Here I have a Pinnacle Picnic Punch (please see video above for details). It’s one part raspberry vodka and two parts ginger ale. You can just add some colored ice cubes to make it a lot more festive.
Here I have a spin on lemonade (please see video above for details). It’s the breezy lemonade! It has the original vodka with club soda and lemonade, and you can get more recipes at PinnacleVodka.com.”
Candace Rose: Are there any other go-to items that we should have on hand in case friends and family stop by?
Limor Suss: “Yes, you always want to make sure you have an extra bag or two of ice. Ice is the first thing to go at parties, plus you want to pick up an extra bag of hot dogs or hamburgers in case your guests come really hungry or bring along some friends, you don’t want to be stressing out last minute that you don’t have enough food.
You also want to let technology lend a hand with your party. The LG G Flex 2 smartphone helps capture the memories at your party because it has a 13 megapixel camera. You can also show off and pick images off your smartphone with the revolutionary 5.5 inch curved full HD screen. It looks great in this volcano red color which you can get at Sprint, or the platinum silver color which you can get at U.S. Cellular. It really is just a conversation piece at the party in and of itself.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any tips to help us keep the party going and make our guests not want to leave?
Limor Suss: “Yes. This is the newest from Igloo (please see video above for details) the folks at Igloo really know a thing or two about keeping things cool. It’s the new party bar cooler powered by LiddUp. It has an exclusive LD light system which sets the mood. If you have your party going into the night, guests can find their drinks really quickly. You can also take the bar anywhere – from your pantry to the party, or your can remove from the base and use it as a standard ice chest. It comes equipped with all of the essentials – it has a built-in bottle opener, drink dividers, a wine caddy. All you have to do is pick your poison, pop the top and party on.”
Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?
Limor Suss: “Sure, so you can go to Facebook.com/VideoPump.”
