In addition to making fresh holiday wreaths, I must admit I love making homemade marshmallows! Over the weekend I bought supplies to make Alton Brown’s renowned marshmallows and made them yesterday, boy are they delicious!!! Now that I’ve “mastered” these gourmet handmade marshmallows, I felt that it was time to move on to another project. Lucky for me, and everyone else who LOVES making marshmallows for s’mores, hot chocolate or to snack on, earlier today (Tuesday, December 23rd) on the “Today” show, our favorite gals Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford were joined by chef Craig Strong of Studio Restaurant at the Montage Laguna Beach, he made delicious vanilla-orange marshmallows and caramel popcorn!

Vanilla-Orange Marshmallows ingredients
- Cold water
- Stand mixer
- Corn syrup
- Orange zest
- Grand marnier
PS Chef Craig says you can make these marshmallows mocha flavored just by adding chocolate and coffee and omitting the orange zest!
Don’t you think the marshmallows are adorbs in the Anthropologie monogram mugs (as seen in video). LOVE! I actually used a Christmas cookie cutter to cut a few of my marshmallows out tonight and added one to my hot cocoa in my Anthro monogram mug. Love that it made it a little bit more festive!!! 🙂
