Candace Rose: All-in-ones make a great gift. Is there anything new?

Katie Linendoll: “Yes, let’s talk about the HP Envy Touchsmart. What’s really cool about it as a tech girl and as a computer girl at heart with an IT degree, I love that there’s an AMD special edition FX processor inside here. Those of you that aren’t tech savvy, what it means is this baby is going to fly with speed and power and seamless multitasking. If you’re looking for a powerful computing device, this is it. Also, there are bonuses inside like Beats Audio, it also includes voice recognition software as a bonus. It’s $650 at Best Buy exclusively.”

Candace Rose: What do you recommend for someone who has everything?

Katie Linendoll: “People that have everything are harder to buy for and this is kind of a no brainer, Amazon Prime, this is something that I use three to five times a week at the minimum! What’s awesome about it is the $99 a year subscription, free two day shipping on most items, access to endless entertainment so you can stream thousands of movies and TV shows and access to over 600,000 books to lend on your Kindle, which is very nice. They announced the other day that you have unlimited storage as well. Amazon.com/GiftPrime, Amazon Prime, give the gift of Prime, I think it’s an obvious no-brainer for that somebody who has everything.”

Candace Rose: Are there any cool accessories for the tech lover?

Katie Linendoll: “Accessories are easy around the holidays because people are always asking for the iPad. That’s kind of an expensive gift, however if somebody already has the iPad or have got the new iPad, Logitech Keys-To-Go is a portable keyboard for all iPads and must for any iPad user. I like to think it changes your productivity completely. When you have that keyboard on hands, you can type faster, you can be more productive – awesome. It has a fabric skin, it protects it from spills, crumbs and spills – and three months on a charge. You can easily throw it in your purse or your bag whenever you want it, it’s under six ounces. It’s a must – Logitech Keys-To-Go.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any ideas for something special and personal?

Katie Linendoll: “Ancestry DNA. I’ve always loved Ancestry.com, now with the DNA Kit, you can actually trace your true ethnic heritage. Check this out – you spit into a tube (provided by Ancestry DNA), and you send it into the lab. Within a few weeks you get results online. It’ll actually break down your heritage as far back as 1,000 years. Most DNA kits don’t do this. It’ll break it down into percentages – it’ll say for example you’re 10% Irish, 40% Western European; 26 ethnicities from around the world, also as a bonus it’ll list people that you could be related to, right down to your second, third and fourth cousins. For only $99 you get to trace your true heritage! Very cool, very unique option for gifting this holiday season.”

Candace Rose: Do you have anything for a coffee lover?

Katie Linendoll: “I’m a huge coffee lover and a huge techie as you know, I always look for the cool, new coffee devices and this is iCoffee. It already hits a home run with the name. iCoffee is at Bed Bath & Beyond, it’s inexpensive, it’s under $140 and what’s neat is it actually uses patent protected SpinBrew technology, so it spins, it steams, it stirs inside your K-Cup. Whatever your K-Cup choice is, you throw it in there, it has a Dial-a-Brew option so you can change the strength and also the taste. What I like too is iCoffee in the next couple of days is actually coming out with a reusable pod option, so if you’re eco friendly (I’m big into those things), you can actually use the reusable pod. It’s great because you can always get a good cup of coffee and no acidic aftertaste. iCoffee, inexpensive and great for us coffee lovers.”

Candace Rose: How about for gamers?

Katie Linendoll: “Everybody kind of has a gamer on their list, right? This is new and hot off the press and getting rave reviews, this is the HP Omen, it’s a high performance gaming powered machine (please see video above for details). It is one of the thinnest gaming laptops ever. It has the power of a desktop and less than five pounds, stunning graphics, fast load time, smooth frame rates, all the things that are important to gaming. There’s Beats Audio inside here, a backlit keyboard with programmable keys and multi-zone lighting that you can customize to your style, plus as a bonus you can get free extra accessories.

For the gamers, for the coffee lovers, for the unique options , I’ve got you covered at ThunkNews.com/YesPlease.”
