It wasn’t too long ago that we were all kids and our parents were in charge of throwing us a momentous birthday party! It’s funny to see how the trends over the last 20+ years haven’t changed all that much. My mom threw me a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party when I was “little”, and a friend of the family recently celebrated her birthday with the “berry sweet” Strawberry Shortcake. And can you believe how popular The Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles still are? Those turtles in a half shell are still as hip as ever, and still eating pizza, I presume.
While the trends haven’t changed all that much, the celebrations sure have! I think I’m giving away my age here when I mention that one of my birthday parties was celebrated at McDonalds, which was the cool thing to do back then. Birthday parties for kids sure have changed over the years! If you’re looking to throw your child a fun birthday bash that they will always remember and (their friends will have the best time ever), you’ll want to check out the video below. “The Chew’s” Clinton Kelly shared his recipe for throwing a fun birthday party, which includes cupcakes, frosting and sprinkles; and fresh flowers in a crayon vase.
