Candace Rose: What are some of the hottest wedding trends you’re seeing for summer 2014?

Justine Santaniello: “There are a lot of fun trends, and I think that’s one of the most fun parts of the wedding process- seeing what the trends are, what works for your wedding concept and just enjoying it.

So let’s start with probably one of my favorites, when we think of weddings, we think of bubbly, of course. One of the big trends right now are mini bubbly bottles, so check out these mini luxe bottles of bubbly that we have here (please see video for details) from La Marca Prosecco. You can serve these, but you can also give them as favors. You can use them at any point in the wedding process, so you’re engagement party, your bridal shower, your rehearsal dinner, even.

Here are some fun ways that you can display them- You can put a bunch in a pretty beverage bucket, or you can have waiters serve them to guests on a silver tray, you can even put a little note on the neck and write a personalized note and give them as favors.”

Candace Rose: What’s the secret to the perfect wedding toast?

Justine Santaniello: “When it comes to a wedding toast, for me personally, I’m a very sentimental person, it’s about coming from the heart and really expressing your sentiment for the bride, for the groom, for them as a couple and adding in some personal experiences, some past memories. It never hurts to have some fun jokes in there as well!”

Candace Rose: Are there any other must have trends that 2014 brides need to know about?

Justine Santaniello: “Destination weddings are really popular right now, and couples are choosing all inclusive resorts to help them keep track of their budget. If you’re looking for a destination location, I recommend picking somewhere that has almost guaranteed weather like Los Cabos in Mexico. One of their newest resorts right now, Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf and Spa Resort, it’s an adults only resort that offers complimentary wedding packages, totally customizable. Everything is included- from the flowers to the food, your coordinator services…and guests are really going to enjoy their unlimited luxury concept! All the first class amenities and services are included with the price of your stay, which is nice. You can leave your wallet in the room and not have to worry about it.

When it comes to registry, I know it can be very overwhelming – where to register, what to register for. We have some of the top items here – the Cuisinart food processor, the Pearl place setting, the Wusthof knife set. All of these items can be found at Sur La Table. Sur La Table is a great place to register because they have over 10,000 different items and you’re going to get complimentary concierge service. All the concierge there are expertly trained, they’re cooks, they’re very enthusiastic, so they’re going to help new couples to plan their dream kitchen.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?

Justine Santaniello: “People ask me a lot about dresses and the bridesmaids dresses. My biggest tip for your there is allow your girls to pick the dress that they feel most comfortable in instead of choosing it for them. They’re going to be in all of your photos with you and you know that if a woman doesn’t feel confident and comfortable in what she’s wearing, you’re going to see that all over her face in the photos, so let your girls choose the dress that works best for them.”

Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?

Justine Santaniello: “You guys can go to my site JustHaves.com, and I’ll post this all there for you.”
