Candace Rose: With summer nearly upon us, what are some of your favorite beauty must haves this season?

Rebekah George: “One thing you need to think about with this summer is your skin can get dehydrated. Even though it’s warm out and even though there is humidity in the air, so you need to moisturize and you can do that with Advanced Night Repair from Estee Lauder. I love this because it’s almost like sleep in a bottle. Just a few drops before you go to bed, you wake up in the morning with really refreshed hydrated skin. It also has anti-aging ingredients, and believe me, we all need that. Another great trick I’ve learned is take a few drops of it, apply it in your foundation or your BB cream in the morning…that is going to give you that glistening skin we all love. You can find it at EsteeLauder.com.

Now, speaking of smooth skin, we’re all about to hit the beach…Memorial weekend is almost here, and with summer and short skirts and mini dresses, we are all thinking about shaving. A lot of women mistake razor burn for sensitive skin, not the case. You need to look for the right razor. The must have razor of the season from Gillette is their Venus Embrace Sensitive razor. It contains five blades, so there’s no pull or drag, you don’t have to go over the area again and again. The blades are also spaced nice and close together, so skin doesn’t bulge up, which also can increase your risk of sensitivity and irritation. It also has their lubrastrip formulation which means it has three times the glide enhancers compared to the regular embrace razor. You can find it at drug and mass stores.

Now if you’re packing up and getting ready to go on your beach vacation during the summer, which I hope you are! You don’t want to lug around all of your beauty products, but you still want to have the great on trend makeup looks of the season, well you can do that with the Kaleidolight Palette from Aerin. It has all the colors that are in style for the season ranging from the nudes to the soft pinks and even the bronze, all in this one palette. She has this fabulous Kabuki brush, which is again, another multitasker. You can use this one brush to highlight, to use on your cheeks, to create different eye looks, so these two products are all you really need to go in your beach bag. You can find them at Aerin.com or EsteeLauder.com.”

Finally, the intense heat and even a hectic crazy work schedule can make your eyes look and feel tired and less attractive. Well, you should try lying down with Bausch+Lomb’s TheraPearl Eye Mask. It’s made with hundreds of pearls of gels that contour to your face, and it provides instant relief. You can use it hot or cold. I say, put it in the fridge or freezer for two hours, then when you use it on your eyes you’ll get that instant relief to help beat the puffiness and the summer doldrums. You can find it at Walgreens for $9.99.”

Candace Rose: What should people look for when it comes to sun protection?

Rebekah George: “One thing to look for is an SPF of at least 30 with a broad spectrum UVA or UVB protection. You want to reapply it every two and a half hours. A good trick is just leave it on your vanity you’ll be sure to apply it first thing in the morning.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?

Rebekah George: “You can check out InTheNews.tv, and I have information there on all these great products.”
